Our partners in the battle for the ArrMY Open LAN – who stands the best chance?

- -

Today brings another opportunity to take a closer look at the competition on the road to the ArrMY LAN finals. This time, we’re focusing on the Open division. We’ve recently noticed that the pace of the competition has picked up significantly, and there’s very little room for error. The playoff stage is the moment when every mistake can cost a team their dream of competing at the LAN event. That’s why there’s certainly no shortage of excitement. Among the teams that have managed to make it through to this stage of the tournament are our partners, who have been performing consistently well since the start of the season. Today we’re taking a look at how they’re faring in the decisive phase and who has a realistic chance of securing the coveted slot at Gdańsk’s Kingiun Lounge.

Our partners in the playoffs – who qualified and how?

As many as four teams from our partner programme have advanced to the playoffs in this division. Specifically, these were Constrict Gaming, Nisla Rakov, LHG and Carpathian Roja. Each of these teams earned their place in the next stage in their own way. However, the common denominator was their effectiveness in the shortened format of the competition. It is worth noting that this time the teams played only eight matches instead of the standard ten. This, in turn, significantly reduced the margin for error and meant that every match carried even greater weight in terms of the final standings.

Constrict Gaming adapted best to these conditions, dominating this phase and finishing it with a perfect 80 record. This result not only secured them first place but also clearly demonstrated that they are one of the strongest teams in the entire field. Their consistency and lack of slip-ups meant they were among the main favourites to secure a spot at the LAN. Nisla Rakov put in an equally solid performance, finishing the regular season with a 71 record, which saw them advance from 8th place. Although they failed to maintain a perfect record, the team displayed a high and consistent standard throughout most of their matches. Their performance, however, shows that they are capable of learning from their mistakes and maintaining their form throughout the entire competition.

Carpathian Roja finished the competition with a 62 record, taking 43rd place, which secured them a relatively comfortable place in the playoffs. Although they were not among the top teams in the table, their consistency and ability to win crucial matches allowed them to successfully progress to the next stage. LHG had the toughest journey, finishing in 114th place with a 53 record. This result was on the cusp of qualification, as only 128 teams made it through to the play-offs. Ultimately, however, they managed to secure a place in the next stage, which can be considered a significant success.

The road through the ArrMY Open playoffs – who is still in the running?

After the first rounds of the playoffs, the situation began to become much clearer, and today the picture of the competition is far more transparent. Only two teams remain in the fight for the ArrMY LAN finals. We’re talking about Constrict Gaming and Nisla Rakov. For the other teams, the adventure ended at an earlier stage, which only goes to show just how demanding and ruthless this phase is.

LHG had the shortest run in the playoffs, being eliminated in their very first match. Their clash with Bandycka Jazda ended in defeat without them winning a single map. Unfortunately, the course of the match itself left little doubt as to which side was in better form. Thus, their participation in this phase ended sooner than they could have anticipated. Especially considering the difficult path they had to take just to get to this point.

Carpathian Roja fared slightly better, as they managed to secure one victory. They opened their campaign by defeating Wilczury in a three-map contest, showing moments of truly solid play and control over the course of the match. In their next match, however, they faced Sparta Barlinek, who proved to be too tough an opponent. Despite attempts to put up a fight, they ultimately had to concede defeat.

As for the teams still in the running, their situation looks far more optimistic. Constrict Gaming has two demanding matches under its belt, where they had to prove their worth in longer and more evenly matched series. They emerged victorious from both encounters, demonstrating not only skill but also mental resilience. Nisła Raków, on the other hand, had a slightly different path… Both their matches ended in comfortable victories without dropping a single map. This clearly demonstrates their dominance and excellent preparation. Their style of play could prove to be a huge asset in the upcoming matches, especially if they maintain their current form.

Decisive clashes today

This evening, fans will be able to follow our partners’ next performances, as both teams will play their matches at 8 pm. Constrict Gaming will face off against Jamniory. Meanwhile, Nisła Raków will take on SE7ENS. However, the form of both teams so far gives solid grounds for optimism, as both Constrict and Nisła have shown they can win in various scenarios. We are approaching one of the most important moments of this ArrMY season, in which not only preparation and skill will count, but also resilience under pressure and consistency at key moments, which may decide who ultimately makes it to Gdańsk.
