After several weeks of competition in the 55th season of ESEA Entry, Panico eSports have now played six matches. We discussed the first two matches earlier in a round-up feature on our partners in this division. Today, we’re back to take a closer look at the next four fixtures. A 3–3 record may look solid, but the road to it was by no means easy. The team has experienced both impressive victories and tough defeats, which have shown just how evenly matched the competition in the Entry division can be.
Panico eSports’ ups and downs…
Panico eSports’ strong start to the next few weeks of the season
The third match of the season provided a solid start to the part of the competition we’re covering today. Romania’s Panico eSports faced off against the Polish team Stoned Goats on the Ancient map, where they dictated the pace from the very start. The match ended 13–5, with Panico controlling the flow of the game in almost every round. This victory allowed the team to catch their breath after a mixed start and believe in their abilities ahead of the next challenges.
In their fourth match, Panico hosted the German side TEL Main on the Nuke map. Although their opponents put up a tough fight, the Romanians maintained their focus until the very end, winning 13–11 after a closely fought and thrilling match. This proved that the team can keep a cool head in difficult moments and capitalise effectively on their chances, even when under pressure from the score.
A tougher moment, but still with potential for a comeback
The next match did not go Panico’s way. The clash with the Turkish side CALAMITY on the Dust 2 map ended in a heavy 4–13 defeat. From the outset, the match went better for the opponents, who capitalised on the Romanians’ mistakes and didn’t let them get into their stride. It was a match that showed just how quickly the tide can turn in the ESEA and how important consistency is in this division.
Today’s series concluded with a clash against the Dutch side The Elogainers on the Ancient map. Panico tried to put up a fight, but this time they lacked effectiveness at crucial moments. Ultimately, their opponents won 6–13, and the Romanian side had to accept their second consecutive defeat. The match against the Dutch side showed that Panico still have work to do, especially if they want to return to the form they showed in earlier matches.
What’s next for Panico in ESEA Entry?
The first few weeks of the ESEA Entry have shown that Panico eSports have a solid foundation to compete with any opponent in their division. The team can look confident when everything goes to plan, but they are still seeking stability and consistency in their play. If the Romanians maintain their focus and learn from their recent matches, their next fixtures could see them return to winning ways and consolidate their position in the table.
