Yesterday, news spread through the underground scene and NPK Esport circles that turned the situation on its head. Yesterday’s team benched their entire existing Counter-Strike 2 line-up, replacing them with new faces. The previous line-up consisted of Sernik, stefan, lunatic, axenik and XTOM3. This decision may prove controversial, as we wrote quite recently about NPK Esport’s tournament victory.
The new squad faces quite a difficult task. Mainly because of the high standards set by the previous squad when they won the aforementioned tournament. What would need to happen for them to live up to expectations? Not necessarily winning a tournament, but simply putting in solid performances in Arrma competitions or other underground tournaments. This is precisely what the previous squad lacked.
It’s also worth noting that the previous squad took part in the qualifiers for the Ascent Legacy Series. They were drawn into Group A, and their first match was against Gromaz Esport. The clash took place on Train, where our partner were defeated fairly quickly, losing 5–13. NPK then found themselves in the losers’ bracket, where a defeat meant elimination from the tournament. And that is, unfortunately, exactly what happened. NPK were also defeated quite quickly in their match against Ananaski: 0–2 in maps, 5–13 on Ancient and 3–13 on Overpass. With all due respect to the previous squad, these results were evidently not enough to keep them in the first-team line-up for much longer, which is why the project owner decided to move them to NPK Esport II.

The new NPK squad consists of young, ambitious players who stand out for their determination and eagerness to showcase their potential on the CS scene. Each of the lads brings something unique to the squad – some have strong aim, others excel at reading the game. Together, they form a strong team with great potential.
The new line-up is likely to make its debut in the upcoming qualifiers for the Arrma league. However, this is by no means certain, as there may well be a new underground tournament before the qualifiers, where we might get to see NPK Esport’s latest line-up even sooner – and that’s what we’d hope for.
