Last week brought plenty of excitement surrounding the closed qualifiers for Season 12 of Army Rising. Many teams hoping to secure a place in a higher division took to the arena, including Firewolf Clan. Although they started the competition in fine form, their strong performance wasn’t quite enough to secure the promotion they were hoping for.
How did Firewolf Clan fare in the Arrmy Rising CQ?
- Firewolf Clan 2–0 BudyńToTwardaZupa
- Ancient 13:4
- Anubis 13:4
The first match was completely dominated by the Wolves. Their performance was exceptionally convincing, resulting in a swift conclusion to the encounter. The final score was 13:4 on both maps, which shows just how strong their form was. The Ancient map was selected by the Firewolf team, meaning their opponents were able to start the game from the Anti-Terrorist perspective. Despite this, the Wolves showed great determination and precision in their attacks, which allowed them to close out the map quickly. They lost only four rounds, which is testament to their excellent strategy and superb teamwork.
The second map, Anubis, was chosen by the BudyńToTwardaZupa team. In this scenario, the clan began the match as the attacking side, which provides a significant advantage. On this map, control of the bombsites is crucial, and failed defences can quickly turn the tide of the match. The Wolves were able to capitalise on this advantage and played with great focus, which contributed to their success. The match ended with a result that highlights their outstanding skills; Firewolf Clan conceded just eight rounds across the entire series.
Such a result is not only a source of pride but also provides a strong impetus for further competition. The Wolves have gained confidence, and their teamwork has been proven in practice. Looking ahead to future matches, one could expect the team to continue their winning streak.
- POLteam 2–1 Firewolf Clan
- Anubis 10:13
- Nuke 16:14
- Ancient 13:9
Despite a convincing victory in the first match, the Firewolf team encountered difficulties in the second encounter. The match was very closely fought, with the contest spanning three maps. Unfortunately, the Wolves had to concede defeat to their opponents. The first map was Anubis, chosen by POLteam, but it turned out to be slightly easier for Firewolf to master. Despite many tense moments, they managed to secure victory on this map, finishing it with a score of 10–13.
The second map, Nuke, was chosen by Firewolf. Everyone expected this map to be a formality. Unfortunately, the encounter proved to be very evenly matched, meaning the match had to go to overtime. The protracted contest certainly took its toll on the Firewolf players. Ultimately, they lost this map 16–14, forcing them to play a third, decisive map.
The third map was Ancient, on which the Wolves had won their first qualifier match without much trouble. This time, however, it was a completely different story. The tired players were no longer able to produce the same standard of play as at the start. Their opponents noticed this and exploited it effectively. Ultimately, Firewolf lost the final map 13–9, ending the series 2–1.
What’s next for Firewolf Clan in Arrma’s 12th Season?
Now, the Wolves are left with only the Open division, where there are many teams and the competition is sure to be fierce. Furthermore, there are currently 432 teams registered in the Open division (as of 16/02/2025 15:54). Over the coming weeks in this division, alongside Firewolf Clan, we’ll be able to watch teams such as:
- CobraTeam (Main and AC)
- Team Fairus
- NSQ
- Death Howl
- Gloris eSport
- Hussars Young
- Constrict
