As you all know, 2025 is slowly drawing to a close. A lot has happened this year, both for us at SuperionGG and for the Underground | CS2 Community, with whom we began collaborating this year. Since then, we’ve been publishing regular updates on their rankings, and today it’s time for the last one of the year. Both the ranking positions themselves and the way the ranking system worked have changed quite dynamically, but generally for the better.
The latest Underground | CS2 Community ranking of the year

In the latest update, mainly due to the lack of major tournaments over the festive period, there aren’t too many changes. In fact, there are none at all in the top eight. The only changes can be seen in 9th and 10th places, where Anki’s Koziolki have leapfrogged Team Perun by an 11-point margin. Further down, we can see some shuffling around the top 25, where the newly ranked team Pulp Fragers have already shown they’re a force to be reckoned with, leapfrogging teams such as rzufie and WKEYENJOYERS, amongst others.
What did the ranking look like when it was first launched?

Here is this year’s first edition of the Underground | CS2 Community ranking. This was in early July, when many teams were also in a temporary off-season break. At that time, GRIN Esports were at the top; having finished third at the LAN event in Warsaw, they surged past many teams. Lurking just behind them were teams such as Awaken Gaming and NoSurrenderGG, which were frequently featured in esports rankings at the time. The ranking was still quite fluid, though at first glance it’s clear that it was slightly higher than it is now. This is mainly because many of these teams have emerged from the ‘underground’ or have simply disbanded. Nevertheless, such rankings are important so that teams can make visible progress, and so that viewers have a better idea of the standard at which they’ll be watching a match.
As I mentioned at the start of this post, this is the final update for this year – but what will 2026 bring? Nobody knows, but everyone is dying of curiosity.
