Collaboration in the world of esports involves not only teams and players, but also organisers who are committed to the development of the entire community. That is why we are delighted to welcome a new partner on board: the Bialski E-sports Tournament! This is an initiative that has been consistently developing the Counter-Strike scene for several years… Starting with local school competitions and culminating in an event that attracts participants and spectators from across Poland. The project involves organising regular tournaments, culminating in LAN finals that are broadcast live and played in front of a live audience.
Previous editions have shown that a local initiative can, over time, evolve into a recognised esports event, engaging both players and fans. We are delighted to be joining forces with yet another organiser who is actively working to promote the Polish CS2 scene. We believe that this partnership will enable us to reach new audiences together and support further initiatives aimed at developing domestic esports.
The Biała Esports Tournament – from a local initiative to a nationwide event
The history of the Biała Podlaska E-sports Tournament dates back to 2021. It was then that the initiative began, initially focusing on local school competitions. Over time, however, the project began to attract increasing interest. Subsequent editions have enabled the organisers to develop the event and reach a wider audience. Today, the BTE is a regular Counter-Strike 2 tournament that has moved beyond its regional boundaries to become a nationwide event.
To date, the organisers have held six editions, and the figures from the last season clearly demonstrate the level of interest in the competition. As many as 120 teams signed up to take part in the tournament. This is a solid result for an initiative with roots in the local community. Equally important is the community that has gathered around the broadcasts. The average viewership for live matches was 113 people, whilst the final LAN event attracted over 350 participants on site.
An important element of the BTE format remains the conclusion of the competition during the in-person finals. This is an opportunity to bring the online competition into the real world. Here, players can face off against each other directly, whilst fans can experience the tournament’s most important moments together. The whole experience is complemented by live broadcasts, ensuring the event remains accessible even to those who cannot attend in person.
The growth of the Biała Podlaska Esports Tournament demonstrates just how much can be achieved through consistent community-building and the organisation of further initiatives. Six editions so far provide a solid foundation on which the organisers can base their future plans. At the same time, the number of teams that have entered and the interest in the finals show that there is still a place for such events within the Polish CS2 community.
Community, reach and collaboration with well-known brands
However, organising a tournament involves more than just preparing the matches and ensuring the finals run smoothly. It is equally important to build a community that will support the project between editions. In the case of BTE, social media channels play a major role, enabling the organisers to stay in touch with players, fans and those interested in future events.
According to data provided by the organisers, the project’s total seasonal reach on social media exceeds 100,000. Facebook, Instagram and Twitch account for the largest share of this. The first of these platforms generated 41,000 in reach, Instagram reached 30,000, and Twitch a further 13,500. Added to this is the Discord server, which has around 500 active members. It is here that the community can stay in touch and follow the project’s progress.
BTE primarily targets players aged between 16 and 35 – a group with strong ties to gaming, technology and esports. This specific target audience makes the project an attractive platform for collaboration, not only for entities directly linked to Counter-Strike, but also for brands seeking to reach a young audience.
This is confirmed by the collaborations to date, which include both gaming-related brands and representatives from other sectors. The list of partners and collaborating organisations includes, amongst others, Starbucks, G17 Media, LHM.gg, arrmy.gg, Papito Energy, DaGrasso Biała Podlaska, StoryView and webbyj.io. Academic institutions were also involved in the project, including the Biała Podlaska Academy, its University Student Council, and the Academy of Physical Education – Biała Podlaska branch.
The next step in the development of the Polish CS2 scene
The inclusion of the Biała Podlaska Esports Tournament among Superion.gg’s partners represents another opportunity to forge relationships with organisers actively involved in the Polish Counter-Strike scene. We believe that the exchange of experiences, mutual media support and joint promotional activities can benefit both parties and, above all, help us reach new audiences.
BTE proves that a well-developed regional initiative can, over time, gain a much wider reach. Six editions, 120 teams registered in the last season, and LAN finals attracting hundreds of participants provide a solid foundation for further development. There are certainly many opportunities still ahead for the organisers, and we are delighted to be able to accompany them through the next stages of their development.
Welcome to the Biała E-sports Tournament family! We wish you every success in organising future editions, successful tournaments and the continued development of the entire project. See you on the servers and at the next LAN finals!
