The new ESEA season brings another dose of excitement, and our partners are back in the fray. This time, it’s the 55th season of the ESEA Open. We’ll see two teams from our partner programme in the competition: YNG SKiLLZ and Team Fairus. Both teams are aiming for a strong start to the season and are hoping for a successful opening to the competition, which will help them build confidence for the matches to come.
Partners on the servers? The first matches are behind us!
We’ve already seen our partners’ first appearances in the ESEA Open, with both having played two matches so far in the new season. For a start, there was no shortage of excitement… Some got off to a flying start, whilst others are still waiting for the right moment to kick off and the chance to show their full potential.
YNG SKiLLZ
YNG SKiLLZ are competing in the ESEA Open10 division and, after two matches, have a 1–1 record. However, the start to the season hasn’t been the easiest… In their opening match, the team faced the British side Council Peekers on the Nuke map. Although the first half was very evenly matched, it ended with a score of 5–7. Ultimately, their opponents proved more effective in the second half, taking the score to 7–13.
In their second match, however, YNG SKiLLZ showed a completely different side to themselves. On Ancient, they dominated the Russian side 78s, winning the first half 10–2 and quickly closing out the map with a 13–2 victory. It was an impressive display of strength and teamwork, which will certainly boost their confidence ahead of their next matches. In the next round, YNG SKiLLZ will face the Ukrainian team NEXUS, where they will be looking to continue their good form and move into positive territory in the table.
Team Fairus
Fairus, meanwhile, are competing in ESEA Open9, though their start to the season has not gone to the team’s liking. The team have suffered two walkover defeats… The first against Team Ozralis, and the second against Pelagos eSports. Let’s hope that in their upcoming match against AccrouPeek from France, the team will finally appear on the server and kick off the season with a proper match.
Our partners are not slowing down
The ESEA competitions are in full swing, and our partners are fighting hard for every point in their respective divisions. YNG SKiLLZ have certainly proved that they can learn quickly and get back on the winning track after a difficult start to the season. As for Team Fairus, we’re hoping that in their next match the team will finally appear on the server and be in a real position to fight for their first win. Both teams still have plenty of matches ahead and plenty of opportunities to show their character. So we’re keeping our fingers crossed that our partners’ form will improve with every passing week.
