CFK ESPORTS TO TAKE THEIR PLACE AT HEXAGONE!
Sometimes unforeseen circumstances can ruin something you’ve been fighting for and preparing for over a very long time. You could say that one thing can bring the whole structure crashing down. Unfortunately, HEXAGONE found this out the hard way. A few days before the finals, the organisers received a message from them stating that, due to health issues affecting two players, the team would be unable to attend. Right up until the very last moment, it was reported that the finals would go ahead with only three teams taking part. However, this was just a temporary hiccup, as at the very last moment the fans were informed that, in the end, a full line-up of teams would be competing in the finals. Stepping in for HEXAGONE were the lads from CFK!
JOINING AT THE LAST MINUTE AND CLAIMING A PLACE ON THE PODIUM – THAT’S SOMETHING
Before we move on to the winners, we need to talk for a moment about the lads who unexpectedly turned up in Katowice. Not knowing whether you’d actually make it to the LAN, yet still making a difference – that’s a real feat. Although they didn’t quite make it to the LAN final itself, the lads from CFK gave the fans plenty to cheer about in their match against ADVERSA PRO, winning 2–1 and securing third place on the podium. Unfortunately, ADVERSA finished bottom of the table after this match, but it’s still worth noting that, despite their recent dip in form, they put on a cracking display of CS. We hope this will motivate the players even more to work harder, and that we’ll soon see them back at their best.
POMPKAMIX ARE THE WINNERS OF THE CLANAREA CUP KATOWICE!
In the grand LAN final in Katowice, Pompkamix defeated Kulbowicz 2–1 in a BO3 series, claiming the title of champions of the first edition of the CLANAREA CUP.
The semi-final against CFK was merely a warm-up for them and a chance to show that they’d earned their place at the LAN by winning the qualifiers. They went on to prove this once again in the final itself. There was plenty of excitement, so the fans certainly seemed to enjoy it.
So, how did it all pan out in the end?
1ST PLACE – Pompkamix
2ND PLACE – Klubowicze
3RD PLACE – cfkesports
4TH PLACE – Adversa Pro
Congratulations to all the teams on their results, and we hope to see them back in action very soon! See you at the next edition of CLANAREA!
