It’s time to round up the fourth and final CLANAREA CUP qualifier! This time, we had to wait a little longer than originally planned to find out who the final qualifier would be. The qualifiers were scheduled to finish over the weekend of 25–26 September, but due to technical issues, some matches were postponed to the following weekend. Ultimately, the entire competition came to an end on 3 October, and we found out which team would be joining us in the grand final.
16 teams, one goal
Sixteen teams battled it out for the final place in the final. For some, it was another chance to prove themselves in the qualifiers; for others, it was the last opportunity to secure the promotion they’d been longing for.
As always with a full bracket, there was no shortage of matches where a single mistake could spell the end of hopes of progressing further. This time, the stakes were even higher, as it was the final qualifying tournament of the entire series.
A brief look at how the fourth CLANAREA CUP qualifiers unfolded
The opening rounds identified the teams set to battle it out for a place in the final. The qualifiers themselves, however, took a little longer than everyone had anticipated. Technical issues meant that some matches had to be rescheduled, so we had to wait until 3 October for the bracket to be completed.
The most important thing, though, is that we managed to complete everything, and the final battle for a place in the final could finally take place.

Qualifying Final: KULBOWICZE vs Volt Squad
The final match of the qualifiers was a clash between KULBOWICZE and Volt Squad.
The first map, de_Anubis, ended in a 13–9 victory for Volt Squad. KULBOWICZE were therefore under pressure, as another defeat would have meant the end of their promotion hopes.
On Dust2, however, we saw a completely different team. KULBOWICZE took control of the map and won it 13–1, thereby levelling the series.
Everything was therefore set to be decided on Mirage.
There, KULBOWICZE once again demonstrated their strength and won 13–1 for the second time in a row. They thus closed out the series 2–1 and were able to celebrate their long-awaited promotion.
KULBOWICZE are the latest CLANAREA CUP finalists!
Losing the first map did not prevent KULBOWICZE from turning the final around. They claimed the next two maps in very convincing fashion, securing the final ticket to the CLANAREA CUP grand final.
