The first week of our partners’ ESEA league campaign is now behind us. It was a week full of excitement – we witnessed some spectacular victories as well as crushing defeats. So let’s take a look at how our partners fared on the server and what the results were.
ESEA Main – VoFoxen and Hussars show their dominance
We’ll start with some great news: VoFoxen have kicked off their campaign in the second-highest tier of the ESEA league in style, winning both their matches. In their first match against the well-known Ukrainian team Passion UA, VoFoxen secured a confident 13–6 victory on Ancient. In their next match against the predecessors of their compatriots – the Ukrainian team KHOLODTSI – the Foxes achieved the same 13–6 result on the Anubis map. All in all, VoFoxen couldn’t have asked for a better start, with a 2–0 record.
Hussars can boast similar results, having recorded two victories. They ended their first match against the German side Team Lynx with a decisive 13–5 victory on the Nuke map. The second clash did not go quite so smoothly, as the match against the Polish side Forsaken was only decided in extra time, with Hussars winning 19–16 on the Cache map. To paraphrase, the Hussars have made a confident start to Season 59 with a 2–0 record.
ESEA Intermediate – Panico eSports’ dip in form and PEST Esport’s consistency
All good things come to an end, including good news, as Panico eSports certainly hadn’t imagined their league season getting off to such a start. In their opening match, they had to concede defeat to Dynamo Eclot Phoenix, losing 9–13 on Dust 2. Unfortunately, the second match did not prove to be a turning point, as they suffered the same result against the Ukrainian side KittyKats, losing 9–13 on Nuke. Let’s hope this dip in form is only temporary and that Panico will show their true colours in the upcoming matches, as a 0–2 record doesn’t look too good.
PEST Esport fared slightly better, as their first league fixture against the Finnish team KAMKGG, after a hard-fought battle on the Nuke map, went to our partner with a score of 13–11. However, it’s not all plain sailing, as their second match against Ezerietis Esports from Lithuania on the Ancient map ended in a 6–13 defeat. PEST ends this week with a 1-1 record, which may be satisfactory, but we’re hoping for more in their next matches.
ESEA Entry – NPK E-SPORT and more bad news
More bad news, as NPK E-SPORT certainly cannot be pleased with their results this week. Both matches ended in defeat, first losing to 300fps30iq 11–13 on the national map – Mirage. In their next match against Algerian side NOCTYS ESPORTS, they also showed a fighting spirit, but it wasn’t enough, as the match ended 8–13 on the Cache map. However, a 0–2 record isn’t the end of the world, and we’ll certainly see NPK in better form.
ESEA OPEN 10 – Lunacy Gaming’s humiliation
To make matters worse, Lunacy Gaming can ‘boast’ of crushing defeats in the Open 10 division. In their opening match against the Russian side SAYWHAAAAT, they suffered a 3–13 defeat on their home map – Mirage. The next match was even more disappointing, as they managed to score just a single round against the French side CSuper, finishing 1–13 on the Cache map. With Lunacy heading into the 59th season with a 0-2 record, we must wish them the best of luck and keep our fingers crossed for their upcoming GGWP! matches.
That’s how our partners’ first matches in the 59th season of the ESEA league went, but this is just the start of the excitement, as they still have at least 12 matches ahead of them, which we hope will take them to the play-offs and then to promotion. GLHF
