The seventeenth season of ArrMY is officially upon us. As with every season, we have three competitive divisions: Open, Rising and Masters. Whilst we’ll find out who came out on top at the LAN finals – which were recently held in Gdańsk – towards the end of the season, we’ve decided to take this opportunity to see which divisions our partners will be competing in.
ArrMY Open – The beginning of the journey
In the ArrMY Open, the lowest competitive tier features no fewer than four of our partner teams, two of which are VoFoxen-affiliated: NPK E-SPORT, VOFOXEN RISING, PEST E-SPORT and VOFOXEN PROSPECTS. The ArrMY Open is just the beginning for Polish teams. In the ArrMY Open, there are eight rounds in the regular season, and as many as 128 teams advance to the play-offs, of which 16 move up to the next league and eight qualify for the LAN finals.
To sum up, simply qualifying from the Open league can be a major challenge; it is here that the best teams of the future get their start, so it’s well worth keeping an eye on the teams’ performances in the Open league. We, of course, wish every team the best of luck
ArrMY Rising – The battle for the highest honours
In Division 2 of Arrmy: Rising, the competition is getting more serious; every team here has already had to go through the Open stage. The Rising league itself consists of two groups; our partner team, Constrict Gaming, is in Group B, where there are 18 other teams alongside them.
As in the Open, the Rising division consists of eight rounds of the regular season, and every victory is worth its weight in gold, as only the top eight teams advance to the LAN play-offs, and only two of those make it to the top league: Masters
Of course, we wish Constrict Gaming the best of luck, but the problem is that, although they have a slot in the Rising division, they are missing two players from their line-up
ArrMY Masters – The highest competitive tier
At the very top of ArrMY, we have one of our partner teams: VoFoxen Esport. Masters is the highest and most prestigious division in the entire ArrMY. Only 10 teams compete here. There are nine rounds, not eight as in the other leagues. Every team plays every other team, and every match is crucial because only six teams qualify for the LAN play-offs, whilst the rest are relegated to the Rising division.
Let’s hope that our team, VoFoxen Esport, makes it to the LAN and goes as far as possible; of course, we wish them the best of luck in achieving the goals they’ve set for themselves this season
Our partners at every level of the competition
The seventeenth season of ArrMY promises to be truly exciting. Six of our partner teams will be battling it out for a place in the play-offs and the LAN tournament. Our partner teams are spread across every division, from Open to Masters.
The teams still have a long way to go, but one thing we know for sure: the excitement will reach its peak, especially towards the end of the season.
