September and October brought us a few interesting changes on the Polish Counter-Strike 2 scene. We recently reported on the return of Hussars, and now POLteam has reappeared on the radar. However, this isn’t an entirely new story, as the organisation had already unveiled its division back in July, and the latest announcement has once again drawn attention to its presence in the competition.
But that’s not the end of the changes. NPK Esport, which has reshuffled its line-up several times in recent months, has announced the end of its partnership with its previous squad. Meanwhile, Clanarea has backed a new project on the scene, unveiling the Masuria line-up, which is set to represent the organisation in current and upcoming competitions.
So let’s take a closer look at recent developments. We’ll examine what’s happening with POLteam, how NPK’s journey led to the end of the project, and who will be representing Masuria.
POLteam is back in the spotlight
POLteam’s story over the past few months has been rather ambiguous. At the turn of February and March, the organisation went almost completely silent on social media. Despite holding a slot in ARRMY Rising, there were no clear indications at the time regarding the future of its Counter-Strike 2 division.
The turning point came at the end of July, when POLteam announced a new line-up. The team began competing in ESEA Entry, and in September announced that they had qualified for the play-offs. After that, things went quiet again until the latest announcement, in which the organisation officially introduced the players. As POLteam representatives themselves admitted, the five had been representing the organisation for some time.
The current line-up consists of Swetthy, qwerki, SwiZZu, Jaster and awEee. So far, it’s hard to complain about their results. In ARRMY Rising, the team boasts a 6–2 record, whilst in ESEA Entry they have won all their matches so far, achieving a 4–0 record. In total, this amounts to ten wins and just two defeats, which is a very promising start under their new colours.
It is also worth mentioning Sześciopak, who is competing in Group A of ARRMY Rising. However, we have no confirmation as to whether he is still affiliated with POLteam. It is therefore difficult to clearly determine his current position within the organisation’s structure.
One thing is certain… POLteam has had a successful start to the season, and now it must maintain its high form. Will the team extend its winning streak and fight for further success in both competitions?
NPK Esport winds down the project after months of changes
For NPK Esport, the last few months have been marked by constant reshuffles. In early July, the organisation unveiled a new line-up to compete in the ESEA Open. However, this was not without personnel changes. Kamixo left the team and was replaced by sxshi. Viren also left during the season and was replaced by Kuchta.
Despite the reshuffle and the problems encountered, the team managed to achieve a 9–5 record, securing their place in the ESEA Open play-offs. There, however, NPK’s run did not last long. After a victory, the team lost two consecutive matches, bringing their campaign to an end at that stage.
At the end of September, the organisation announced further changes. Szinoj moved from the role of lead player to that of coach, whilst lemu and arsenxiks joined the team. With its revamped line-up, NPK Esport began competing in ESEA Entry, whilst simultaneously taking part in the CLUTCHPOINT tournament, where it boasted a 2–0 record prior to the announcement that the project was being wound up.
Ultimately, on 15 October, the organisation announced the disbandment of the squad. This marks the end of another phase of the project, which in recent months had been attempting to find stability through a series of personnel changes.
For the time being, all we can do is wait for any updates regarding the organisation’s and its players’ future plans.
Masuria Esport with a new line-up. The Clanarea project is taking shape
In September, we reported on the new Clanarea and Masuria Esport project, which aimed to build a new Counter-Strike 2 team from scratch. The whole process was to take place in stages, starting with the search for a coach, followed by player selection and trials, and culminating in the official presentation of the final line-up. We can now see the results of these efforts.
Clanarea has unveiled the five players who will represent Masuria in current and upcoming competitions. The line-up comprises saiiyann666, Korki, Lookacz, BocikBartus and POLO.
The announcement of the squad is an important step in the realisation of the project that was previously announced. From the outset, its foundations were to be commitment, ambition and a long-term vision for development. Now the players face their most important task. To translate these principles into results and build a team capable of competing consistently on the Polish scene.
The first test for the new five-man squad in Masuria Esport colours is now behind us. The team began their campaign in the ARRMY Open division and performed superbly, finishing the regular season without a single defeat. This is a very promising start to a project that is only just establishing its position on the Polish Counter-Strike 2 scene.
This unbeaten record gives the players a solid foundation ahead of the challenges to come. It now remains to be seen whether they can maintain this form in the later stages of the competition and whether Clanarea’s support will help the team achieve its long-term ambitions.
Masuria still has a lot of work ahead of it, but from the outset the project has been about gradually building the team rather than seeking immediate results. It therefore remains to be seen how the new team will make use of the support it has received and whether it will make its mark in the competition in the coming weeks.
What’s next for the Polish scene?
Recent weeks have shown that the Polish Counter-Strike 2 scene is not slowing down. The return of organisations, further squad reshuffles and new projects mean that even in lower-tier competitions, there is no shortage of events worth watching.
POLteam are once again fighting for good results in ESEA Entry and ARRMY Rising, though the team still face the challenge of maintaining their promising form. NPK Esport are closing this chapter, leaving questions about the future of the organisation and its players. Masuria, meanwhile, is embarking on a new adventure, with the chance to establish a solid position in the domestic leagues.
Which of these projects will surprise us the most in the coming weeks? Will POLteam maintain their excellent run, and will Masuria make the most of Clanarea’s support? We’ll have to wait a little longer for the answers.
