A few days ago, we reported on Firewolf Clan’s progression to the grand final of the Game Knights tournament. You can read more about their journey in the article below. Incidentally, this article was written by one of our new editors, so we encourage you to see how the new faces are getting on in our editorial team. This isn’t exactly the ideal topic for an article, but we’d like to take this opportunity to thank the partners who shared our recruitment posts.
The main focus of this article isn’t Firewolf Clan, though we’ll touch on them later. A few days ago, the second semi-final took place, featuring another of our partners who have also been in pretty good form recently. We’re talking, of course, about Constrict Gaming, who first defeated Gravity Esports in the quarter-finals. One could even say they dominated, and quite recently they beat RazPoRaz 2–1 in the semi-finals of this tournament, following a fairly hard-fought contest.
If you don’t win 2–0, you lose 2–1
The match featured all three maps: the first was Ancient (chosen by RazPoRaz), our partner’s pick was Inferno, and the decider was Nuke. The first map went to our opponents after a fairly even contest, as evidenced by the result of the opening clash, with Constrict Gaming losing 11–13. The players moved on to Inferno a few minutes later. Inferno, which was our partner’s pick. And it’s clear at first glance from the result that this map simply ‘suits’ the Constrict Gaming players. A fairly quick victory on this map with a score of 13–4 secured their place on the third map. The third map, Nuke, was not as one-sided as the previous one; and, just like on the first map, we witnessed a closely fought contest, but this time Constrict Gaming proved the better side, winning the decider 13–10 and securing their place in the grand final of the Game Knights tournament.

MVP of the match?
Every Constrict player undoubtedly played their part in reaching the grand final, but it seems that ‘_DenisM’ made the biggest contribution in the semi-final, standing out with his statistics. To be honest, though, if we look at the statistics of his teammates, the other players weren’t that far behind. Returning to Denis himself, he racked up a total of 61 frags throughout the match, whilst dying 43 times. As a result, his KD ratio stood at 1.41. If our calculations are correct (and they might not be), his HLTV 2.1 rating for this match was 1.17. This rating is influenced by factors such as: individual eliminations, multi-kills, the number of kills, the number of deaths and the number of rounds played.

When is the final, and who are the favourites?
At the moment, unfortunately, we don’t know when the final between these two teams will take place, so we encourage you to follow their profiles — that way, you’re sure to find out. It’s hard to pick a favourite for this match; Firewolf Clan have shown that when their backs are against the wall, they can work wonders. On the other hand, we have Constrict, who demonstrated their firepower in the quarter-finals. We already saw these two teams face off in the group stage, also in a BO3 series. On that occasion, Firewolf Clan came out on top, winning 2–0 across the maps (16:13 on Nuke, 13:2 on Ancient). This is sure to be an intriguing clash, with Constrict Gaming keen to avenge their humiliating defeat on Ancient in the group stage. We do, however, hope that this match will feature encounters as fiercely contested as the first map in that earlier fixture. We wish both teams the best of luck and congratulate them on reaching the final!
