Is Armitra Esports better than ESC?

- -

The 53rd season of ESEA is gathering pace, but in the Main division, Armitra Esports cannot yet claim success. After nine matches played, the team has a 45 record, which puts their chances of qualifying for the playoffs in serious doubt. Their form remains inconsistent, but hope is not lost; if the lads can catch a second wind, a comeback is still possible.

The home stretch, and the problems are mounting – a difficult spell for Armitra in ESEA

Armitra Esports 9:13 ENRAGE | Ancient

The match against ENRAGE was dictated by their opponents from the outset. Armitra Esports struggled to find their rhythm and respond effectively to their opponents’ aggression. The first half ended 4–8, putting them in a difficult position right from the start.

After the break, Armitra tried to get back into the game. They showed more confidence and better coordination, but ENRAGE didn’t give them much of a chance. Every attempt at a comeback was quickly quashed, and the opponents effectively maintained their lead. Despite a few successful rounds in the second half, Armitra ultimately had to concede defeat, losing the match 913.

Myztro Gaming 16:13 Armitra Esports | Ancient

It was one of those matches that stays in your mind for a long time, full of emotion, twists and turns, and disbelief. Armitra Esports started with a bang, showing confidence and excellent game organisation. Their lead in the first half was clear; they were leading 3:9, which looked like a solid foundation for victory.

After the break, however, everything turned on its head. Myztro came out for the second half with renewed energy and began to steadily claw back the deficit. Armitra seemed taken aback by their opponents’ aggression and, despite several chances to close out the match, lacked the composure to do so. Ultimately, the match ended in a 12-12 draw, and in extra time, Myztro’s experience and composure proved decisive. For Armitra, this is a painful lesson in the importance of seeing a match through to the end.

ESC Gaming 0-1 Armitra Esports | walkover

The match against ESC Gaming ended without a game, and Armitra Esports were awarded a walkover victory. Their rivals were unable to field a full squad, which automatically resulted in a technical 0-1 win for Armitra. Although these are invaluable points in the context of the table, there is certainly a sense of disappointment; matches like this are definitely better decided in a battle on the server.

Armitra now faces the decisive weeks of the season, and every upcoming match will be worth its weight in gold. Although the team’s form has been inconsistent, they still have a chance to turn the campaign around and fight for a place in the play-offs. It will take consistency, a cool head and, above all, belief right to the very end. Will we see a comeback in style? We’ll find out soon enough.
