All our partner teams that competed in Arrma’s 13th season have either already finished or are about to finish the season. A few days ago, Nexium POLteam joined the ranks of these top teams. The squad achieved a 10-0 record in the regular season. From the outset, this made them one of the clear favourites to be promoted to the Rising League. However, favourites don’t always perform to their full potential, and VoFoxen is living proof of this: they finished the regular season with a 10-0 record but failed to secure promotion to the league above. Nevertheless, as you can see from the title, POLteam did not share their fate and will feature on the list of teams for the upcoming Arrmy Rising season.
Promotion match to Arrmy Rising – 
Nexium POLteam vs SRACHICHI
The maps selected for what was the most important match of the season for POLteam were: Inferno (opponents’ pick), Mirage (POLteam’s pick), Ancient (decider). These were maps that worked well as vetoes for our partner, and they could even have ended the match with a 2:0 result. Especially as they started map 1 on the defending side.

POLteam got off to a fairly good start. They managed to win the pistol round and the force round played by their opponents. This, of course, gave them a quick 3-0 lead, and from there they continued to build on their advantage. They managed to add another three rounds before their opponents could react. The response was quite emphatic, as they managed to score 3 points. Towards the end of the first half, both teams traded rounds, and our partner ended the first half leading 8:4.
The start of the second half was just as good as the first. POLteam managed to win the pistol round and, thanks to that, extend their lead even further to 10-4. SRACHICHI managed to respond with a single round, but the ‘Polish team’ immediately answered in kind. However, at a crucial moment, the tide turned slightly and the opponents managed to win three rounds in a row, thereby closing in dangerously on our partner. Nevertheless, POLteam had everything under control and finished the map with a score of 13:8, leaving them just 13 points away from securing a place in the Rising league.
MIRAGE

The second map, which concluded the match, began with our team winning the pistol round. It was also interesting to note that the opponents chose the attacking side first, which is usually considered the more difficult one. Leading 2-0, our team hit a snag, as the opponents won the first full round and were just one round away from a draw. However, when under pressure, POLteam is able to keep its cool and win crucial rounds. This was certainly the case here, as they began to dominate slightly following that round win. They managed to build a lead of as much as 7-1, which was a comfortable advantage. Before the end of the half, however, the opponents showed their mettle and managed to get back into the match, bringing the score to 4:8.
The second half, however, was a showcase of our partner’s skills from start to finish. A won pistol round increased the initial lead, and the subsequent rounds only gradually extended it further. POLteam managed to secure as many as 8 match points. They failed to capitalise on the first three, but on the fourth attempt they won the map 13:7 and the entire match 2:0. Thus, they easily secured their place in Army Rising. This is quite a significant achievement for this squad, whom we congratulate. We also hope that next season we’ll be able to report on their promotion to the Masters league as well.
What next?
Now Nexium POLteam faces a pre-season period ahead of the next season. During this time, we might spot them in some underground tournaments.
