September has only just begun, yet our partners have already given us further reasons to take another look at the transfer market. Although the biggest upheavals in squad restructuring took place in July and August, the start of the new month shows that organisations still haven’t had their final say. This time, we’ve got both comebacks and brand-new projects, academy developments, as well as a squad reshuffle.
In recent days, PEST Esport and Saturlity Esport, amongst others, have unveiled their new teams. Meanwhile, VoFoxen has decided to focus on developing more young players by creating no fewer than two academy squads. There have also been changes at Vandals Clan, where reports initially suggested the current line-up was disbanding. Ultimately, however, the reshuffle turned out to be much less extensive.
In the latest instalment of our transfer series, we take a look at all these moves. We examine who has joined the new squads, which projects are kicking off at the start of September, and who still needs to bolster their ranks.
PEST Esport returns to the limelight
After a break of over three months, PEST Esport has returned to the servers. The organisation has announced its comeback with a new line-up, and with it, new goals and a desire to re-establish its presence on the scene.
The new five-man line-up comprises BariKej, Arrsse, miwi, nitreelar and BlaZe777. For PEST, this marks the start of a completely new chapter following a lengthy absence. As the players themselves have announced, the break is over, and the team is keen to get back into the fray.
Interestingly, one of the new line-up’s first tests was the open qualifiers for arrma. As luck would have it, right at the start of their journey, PEST came up against Diabełka’s mix, which also included… me.
However, it was hard to expect a closely fought match here. On one side stood the PEST line-up, whose players are performing at a level around the high 10s on the FACEIT ranking. On the other hand, there was a mixed team whose standard was significantly lower. The match therefore ended in a very one-sided result… PEST Esport won by a massive 13–1.
For the returning team, however, it was a successful start to their qualifiers and the first step towards making a comeback onto the scene. We’ll cover the arrmy qualifiers themselves and our partners’ performances in this tournament in more detail in our next article. So, for now, we’ll leave PEST with their first victory under their belt.
One thing is certain, though. After a break of over three months, PEST Esport is back in action, and the new line-up will now have the chance to show what they’re really made of.
Saturlity Esport with new line-ups in NBA 2K and R6S
Things have been a bit quieter around Saturlity Esport recently. However, this doesn’t mean the organisation has been idle. Quite the opposite, in fact. At the start of September, it unveiled new line-ups for two titles that we don’t follow quite as closely. This is primarily because, here at Superion.gg, we focus mainly on the CS2 and FIFA scenes. Meanwhile, Saturlity is also very active in other games. This time, the organisation has unveiled its teams for NBA 2K and Rainbow Six Siege.
First up was the NBA 2K squad. Representing Saturlita will be Olala at point guard, Extreme5k as shooting guard, onedar as centre, Kxmily on the wing and Yagi as centre. Manager Tristan Giraud will be in charge of managing the team. The new roster is set to be the next step in the development of Saturlita’s esports structures and, at the same time, demonstrates that the organisation is not limiting its activities solely to the most popular titles on the Polish scene.
However, that is not the end of the new announcements. Saturlity has also unveiled its new Rainbow Six Siege squad. The team comprises as many as eleven players. The German player RentnerBocki has been named captain, and the line-up also features Zakaaito, NerdyPS5, sullyabi, contuLuciano, derTichler, xShnqz, JinYuno_, Andrejyuh, wshSmash and ZLi0n. This roster is very international… It includes players from, amongst others, Germany, France, Sri Lanka, Russia and Serbia. Saturlity is thus opening a new chapter in its activities on the Rainbow Six Siege scene.
Although these two projects are not currently our main focus, their launch is worth noting. Saturlity is demonstrating that it is expanding its operations on multiple fronts, and the coming months may bring us even more information about the organisation.
VoFoxen is focusing on young talent. Two academy squads
VoFoxen fans have even more reasons to be pleased. In quick succession, the organisation has unveiled no fewer than two new academy squads. In doing so, it is focusing on developing young players and building a talent pool for its main teams.
The first project announced was VoFoxen Rising. After a week of trials, the organisation decided to sign five players. The squad comprises Krux, dogerb, KlyS, Veksiu and N1kuu. As emphasised in the announcement, the young team still has a lot of work ahead of it. However, the very creation of the academy is intended to provide the players with the right environment for development and the opportunity to gain experience in team competition. VoFoxen hopes that each player will be able to take the next step in their career.
The organisation did not stop there, however. Shortly after the presentation of Rising, a second squad was announced: VoFoxen Prospects. This time, Myozen, hades, Telek, Rasiak and PROgram joined the organisation. As with the first academy, VoFoxen emphasises, above all, the players’ youth, potential and desire to develop. The organisation aims to create another squad that may rise to greater heights in the future and supply new talent to more experienced line-ups.
The creation of two academy teams therefore shows that VoFoxen does not wish to limit itself solely to building ready-made rosters. At the same time, the organisation is beginning to invest in players who are at an earlier stage of their careers. We’ll have to wait a little longer to see the results of this approach, but we can already observe how both VoFoxen Rising and VoFoxen Prospects will develop.
Vandals Clan is rebuilding its squad
The biggest stir, however, has centred on Vandals Clan. It all began with a statement from Hubi, who announced that the existing team would be disbanding after around a year together. At first glance, this might have looked like a complete disbandment of the squad. Hubi emphasised, however, that this was primarily a group of friends who met up in the evenings after work and, despite having practically no training, were able to hold their own on the Polish scene.
Ultimately, however, the situation turned out to be slightly different. TerqS and xevis have left the team, whilst the remaining players have stayed within the Vandals Clan organisation. This means that, rather than the project coming to a complete end, it is undergoing a restructuring. The team will need to fill two vacant positions, and a specific announcement has already been made regarding this.
Foxje has announced that Vandals are looking for two players… a second-stara and an anchor. The organisation expects candidates, above all, to have experience in team play and to be available three times a week for around 2–3 hours. The ability to take part in Polish LAN events also remains a key requirement.
This move could mark the beginning of a new chapter for Vandals Clan. Over the course of a year playing together, the current line-up has managed to feature in several tournaments and make its mark on the Polish scene, and now the remaining players face the task of finding suitable replacements. So this is not the end of the project, but rather another reshuffle. If Vandals can quickly find the missing players, the new five-man squad will be able to start preparing for the next competitions.
September has only just begun
Although it is only the start of September, our partners have already provided a few interesting stories relating to changes in their line-ups. PEST Esport has returned to competition after a break of over three months. Saturlity have unveiled new line-ups for NBA 2K and Rainbow Six Siege. Meanwhile, VoFoxen have prioritised the development of young players by setting up no fewer than two academy projects.
Vandals Clan is also making its mark, having begun a squad rebuild following the departure of two players. Although it initially looked as though the team might disband completely, the project will ultimately continue with new players. All this shows that transfer activity amongst our partners did not end with the close of August. Quite the contrary. With September only just beginning, we can expect further announcements.
