We’ve now seen the latest matches involving our partners in the 59th ESEA season. Matches 1 and 2 were already covered in the previous article, so this time we’re focusing on the action from the third round onwards. There was no shortage of excitement – from POLteam Red’s perfect run, through Hussars’ strong form, to the tougher moments faced by Panico eSports and Lunacy Gaming.
ESEA Main – Hussars maintain their momentum, VoFoxen with mixed results
Hussars continue to perform very well in the ESEA Main division. In the matches in question, the team secured three victories: 13–5 against Pesujakuivaus60, 13–5 against LFO FeedTheEgo and 13–8 against Pandaric Vape. Their only defeat came against UOL FROX, with the match ending 10–13.
A 5–1 record puts the Hussars in a very strong position. The team is demonstrating that it can bounce back quickly to winning ways even after a single setback.
VoFoxen Esports finished this stage with a 3–2 record. The team lost by walkover to CarritoSpain, then beat Amphis Gaming 13–8, but lost to Nordic Valor 10–13 in their next match. Despite two defeats, VoFoxen remain with a positive record and still have their fate in their own hands.
ESEA Intermediate – PEST Esport fights on, Panico eSports seeks a breakthrough
PEST Esport began this round of matches with a 13–7 victory over Vizeo. Unfortunately, the next two matches did not go the team’s way — defeats of 9–13 to VAPG5 and 5–13 to MINKENS SHOOTERS mean their current record stands at 2–3.
The team still has a realistic chance of improving its position, but the upcoming matches will require greater consistency.
Panico eSports have been through a difficult spell. Defeats of 8–13 to CUBAN CIGAR, 8–13 to ACG-TIME and 8–13 to Pituheliai are interspersed with a single 1–0 victory on Control. A 1–5 record doesn’t look great, but the season is still ongoing and every subsequent map could mark the start of a turnaround.
ESEA Entry – POLteam Red flawless on their way to further victories
POLteam Red are by far the standout performers amongst our partners in the ESEA Entry division. The team have won all their matches so far and boast a perfect 5–0 record.
In matches from the third round onwards, POLteam Red defeated Walenie 13–4, Proud 13–8 and MASQ 13–8. These three consecutive wins show that the team is in control of the matches and doesn’t give their opponents much room to mount a comeback.
If POLteam Red maintains its current form, it could be one of the most dangerous teams in its division.
ESEA Open10 – Lunacy Gaming need points
Lunacy Gaming are still going through a difficult spell in ESEA Open10. The team fought a closely contested battle against Fiverolls but ultimately lost 17–19. Their next match against team suyhi ended in an 11–13 defeat.
These matches were followed by a 1–0 victory over Exotic, but Lunacy failed to build on that momentum and lost 3–13 to SnuseGang. Their 1–5 record shows that the team needs a breakthrough, but their earlier results confirm that they are capable of taking on their rivals.
Our partners have more important matches ahead. Hussars and POLteam Red will be looking to maintain their excellent form, VoFoxen Esports and PEST Esport will battle for more points, whilst Panico eSports and Lunacy Gaming will try to turn their season around. GLHF!
