The recruitment process has been ongoing for around two months, but the organisation has not yet managed to finalise its squad. The situation has now become even more complicated, as one of the team’s existing players has left.
This means that Constrict Gaming must alter its plans slightly. The search, which was initially intended to find just one missing piece, has now been expanded. The organisation now needs as many as two new players to help it finalise its line-up and begin the next stage of competition. However, before we get into the details of the recruitment drive, it is worth taking a look at the change that led to its expansion.
Constrict Gaming bids farewell to Mamek
A few days ago, Constrict Gaming announced its parting of ways with Maciej “Mamek” Czapliński. The player had been with the organisation practically since its very inception. His departure therefore marks the end of a truly long chapter in the team’s history.
Mamek represented Constrict Gaming for several years, forming part of a project that underwent various changes over time and developed within the esports scene. His presence within the organisation was therefore not limited to a single line-up or a brief competitive period. Over the years, together with the team, he helped shape its history, taking part in numerous matches and tournaments along the way.
In a statement announcing the split, Constrict Gaming thanked the player for his years of commitment, hard work and all the unforgettable memories. The organisation highlighted in particular the fact that Mamek had been with them right from the start. Given such a long-standing partnership, it is difficult to describe this as a mere change in the line-up… For both parties, it marks the end of a certain chapter.
Mamek’s departure also has a direct impact on the ongoing recruitment process. Constrict Gaming was already looking for a fifth player, and now this task is compounded by the need to find a replacement for the outgoing player. As a result, the organisation currently needs two new players to enable it to reassemble a full squad.
For Mamek, however, this is a time to begin the next chapter of his career. After several years with a single organisation, the player now has the opportunity to find a new team and a new place to compete. Constrict Gaming has thanked him for the time they’ve spent together, and now both parties will have to look to the future.
It’s time to start looking for two new players
Following the recent changes, Constrict Gaming has expanded its recruitment drive. The organisation, which has been looking for a fifth player for around two months, now needs two players. They are set to join the core of the team comprising Zarychczix’, denisM^ and Storm, which has remained unchanged for over a year.
The organisation has clearly outlined the sort of people it is looking for. Above all, it is prioritising players who are motivated, committed and have plenty of time to play together. Communication, honesty, consistency, patience and perseverance are also considered essential. Constrict Gaming remains open to various roles and positions within the team, with the exception of star player and IGL.
The list of requirements is quite specific. Candidates must be aged between 15 and 24, have played at least 4,000 hours of the game and hold a FACEIT rank of 10. The organisation also expects experience in team play and the ability to participate in LAN events and boot camps. An additional requirement is that candidates must have no bans on Steam, FACEIT or other gaming-related platforms – this applies to both their current account and any previous accounts linked to the player.
Constrict Gaming offers a great deal of support to those who decide to join the project. The organisation provides a CS server and TeamSpeak, covers the fees associated with participating in leagues and tournaments, and offers professional branding and team shirts. Plans also include funded trips to boot camps and LAN tournaments.
Another key element of the offer is the organisation’s slots in ESEA Main and ARRMY Rising. As the team develops, the organisation plans to expand the scope of the support it offers. Furthermore, Constrict Gaming’s players are contracted to the organisation on a contract-for-services basis. The task now is to find two individuals who not only meet the requirements but also fit in with the team’s long-term plans.
Constrict Gaming still has a lot of work ahead
The situation at Constrict Gaming has changed quite rapidly. Over the past few weeks, the organisation had been looking for a single player to complete its line-up… However, the departure of Mamek meant that the plan had to be expanded. This certainly doesn’t make the task any easier, especially as the organisation has specific expectations for its future line-up. It’s not just about the right level of individual skill. Constrict Gaming is looking for players who are ready for regular work, have the necessary time available and are able to function as part of a team.
At the same time, new players stand to join a project that already has a solid foundation. The core of the team has remained unchanged for over a year, and the organisation has the resources to enable further development and competition in upcoming tournaments. A spot in ESEA Main or ARRMY Rising could be an additional incentive for those wishing to take their competition to the next level.
The coming weeks will therefore show how quickly Constrict Gaming manages to fill the gaps in its squad. The departure of a long-serving player has closed one chapter, but at the same time opened another. The most important thing now will be whether the successors they find will enable the organisation to build a squad capable of fulfilling its ambitious plans.
