It’s 17:45, so it’s time for the start of CLANAREA – Qualifying #3

As usual, the CLANAREA CUP qualifiers were due to start at 5.45 pm, but in truth, it wasn’t clear until the very last moment whether we’d have a full line-up of teams. But as the saying goes, ‘Hope dies last’ – the teams didn’t let us down and filled the slots right to the end.

Who did we see?

The list was packed to the brim; we’d already seen some of these teams in earlier qualifiers. There were also a few new faces. So, who on earth do we have here? VAPG5, MiednicaRSL, PEWNOŚĆ$IEBIE, Kotki Wymiotki, ziomeczki, Avdersa Esports AC, Spaśluński Styl, JUPAiB, LumbagoCS, FEROX IGNIS, 21RElicClan, Wisła Sharks, Styx, CFK eSports and Volt Squad.

Perhaps a few words on the matches themselves

The first matches were quite one-sided; there was even one walkover. There were no major surprises – is that a good thing or not? The team captains will have to answer that for themselves. It certainly wasn’t boring; many teams gave it their all, although unfortunately some weren’t in luck and had to say goodbye to their dreams of a trip to LAN right from the start.

The second round gave us the first – and only – match that went to extra time. On the de_Ancient map, CFK eSports faced off against Volt Squad, with CFK eSports coming out on top, winning the match 19–17. In the next round, the lads representing CFK had to face Adversa Pro, who went on to win the entire qualifiers. The players from PEWNOŚĆ$IEBIE and ziomeczki also battled it out for a place in the final, with the former coming out on top, winning de_nuke 13–7.

The final is upon us

We’ve moved on from the toxic Nuke to de_Anubis, the first map of the entire BO3. The first half ended with Adversa Pro leading 7:5. A change of sides, a moment to catch our breath, and what happened? Adversa Pro didn’t let up, conceding just four rounds and closing out the map with a 13:9 scoreline.
A short break – time for a drink, a trip to the loo and to clear our heads.

Will the lads representing this team under that name regain their confidence? It seems not, because after a brief break, the first half of de_nuke went to Adversa Pro (8–4), and after the sides switched, they closed out the map with the same score as on Anubis, winning the entire match 2–0

ADVERSA PRO are the next CLANAREA finalists!

All their hard work has paid off, securing the lads a trip to the LAN event in Katowice, which takes place this October. The ADVERSA PRO players thus join Pompka and WTG AC! Now it’s time for the final touches, getting mentally prepared and, of course, buying a train ticket or filling up the car. Congratulations to the winners on their outstanding performance and consistent play throughout the tournament. The final qualifiers for a place at the LAN event take place on 25 September. We’ll see which team will be the last to join us in Katowice! Good luck on the server!
