The teams competing in the 13th season of the Arrmy Open league have recently completed the league phase. This has, of course, provided some insight into the form of the individual teams and how they have progressed since last season. The competition this season was quite strong, and to secure a place in the play-offs, teams had to win at least 6 out of 10 matches and also have a very good round-robin record. Seven of our partner teams took part in the competition. How did they get on? Here’s the answer…
VoFoxen — the undisputed leader
Starting at the top of the team standings. First place went to our partner’s team, VoFoxen. They achieved a 10:0 record, without losing a single match. As a result, they are, of course, the clear favourites to be promoted to the Rising League. Finishing in first place makes it easier for them to progress through the play-offs thanks to a very favourable seeding. We also already know their first opponent in the play-offs: Polishackers.

Nexium POLteam — the overwhelming favourite to progress
However, that’s not the end of our partners with a 10:0 record. Nexium POLteam have also achieved this record, although they were placed 4th due to a poorer round record. This is certainly a success for this team, as they have moved closer to promotion, just like the team mentioned above, thanks to securing a very good seeding. They still have a long way to go, as they must win four matches without a single defeat. But anyone they face along the way has reason to be wary. The first team to stand in their way is Team Connectivity.

ViBe Gaming — another 10:0 record and another set of favourites
We’ve dropped another two places down the table, but we still maintain a flawless 10:0 record. In 6th place is one of our new partners, namely ViBe Gaming. They are thus demonstrating that they will be among the frontrunners when it comes to our partners and want to compete for more in the Army Rising league next season. Of course, they still have four matches to win to secure that spot. Their first opponent is Ciapa RTD.

Gloris Academy — an academy that could be on a par with the main team
Moving down a little to 28th place, where the Gloris eSports academy sits with an 8:2 record. Their main squad plays their matches in the Rising League, but we’ll cover them in more detail tomorrow in an article about partners from that very tier. The academy is showing that it isn’t all that far behind the main team, and if the play-offs go their way, they’ll be able to take on a team from the same organisation. For now, they’ll start with a clash against AimLabNND.

Armitra NXT — another academy with strong results
Next up, also with the same record as their predecessor – Armitra NXT. This time, it’s Armitra’s academy, which is performing very well. Last season in the ESEA, they managed to secure promotion to the Intermediate division, and now in the Armitra league they’re also aiming to climb higher. They’ve got a pretty strong case for it, as an 8:2 record is no mean feat. Of course, their biggest challenge now is to win four matches without losing, but perhaps they’ll manage that too. Their first opponent is Angielska Nazwa.

NSQ — a ragtag team with potential
Digging a little deeper, we come to NSQ. A team that could more accurately be described as a ragtag bunch of random players. Very often during the season, they played with stand-ins recruited at the last minute. Despite this, they managed to secure a place in the play-offs with a 7–3 record. It will be a tough challenge for them, and they probably don’t even believe they’ll make it through, but there’s always a chance. Their first match will be against Muchas Muertas.

Excurity Gaming — perhaps the underdogs of this tournament?
Finally, a team that also finished with a 7–3 record and may find the play-offs a tough challenge. Excurity Gaming lost three matches, but you couldn’t deny they put up a fight in any of them. However, the playoff matches will be in a BO3 format, meaning victory will require less luck and more skill. Such conditions may favour our partner, who, like everyone else, faces a maximum of four matches of relentless battle for promotion. The first of these takes place on 4 August against 89Team.
