A few days ago, a new post appeared on the Vikings’ fan page – specifically, a summary of their campaign in this season’s EA Sports FC 25. This means that their season has now come to an end. Many clubs have already wrapped up their competitive fixtures; summer leagues and tournaments are currently drawing to a close, and we are slowly gearing up for the next instalment in the EA Sports FC series.
ProLeague Poland
The Vikings played in the second division this season. They came within a whisker of promotion, falling three points short of securing a place in the first division. Three Vikings made it into the team of the season: Mrtino79 (ŚPD), Strzała (ŚO) and Koksu (BR). Kopytko scored the most goals for the Vikings.
Polish Cup
As we can read on the official profile, “we cannot count this tournament as a success”, and here we must unfortunately agree. They finished the group stage in 8th place, which did not qualify them for the play-offs.
Summer Cup
To be honest, this was probably the most exciting tournament the Vikings played in this year. Although it was more of a summer tournament, held at the end of the season, when the players are slowly getting fed up with the season. An interesting format and high-calibre teams, with plenty of experimentation. The Vikings even caused a surprise in this tournament. In the first round, they faced GSK Esport, where, after losing the match 1-3, they dropped into the lower bracket (last chance).
There they faced Spirit.us. In the first match, the Vikings led 1-0 until the 60th minute. After that, only the Spirit.us players scored, netting three goals. The first match ended 1-3. They managed to win the second match 1-0. In the BO3 format, this took us to a third match. Probably the Vikings’ best performance of the tournament. A 3-2 win secured their place in the next round.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go our partner’s way there. In their match against Rooster Cannons, they suffered a 0-2 defeat and were thus eliminated from the Summer Cup by Miami Esports & ProLeague Polska.
And so, the Vikings’ players concluded their campaign in EA Sports FC 25. A new season, new challenges and new gameplay coming soon.
