More and more tournaments are springing up in our humble underground scene. We recently reported on the launch of the Immunity League, and now we have another interesting update for you. Registration has closed for Underground Rivals, a tournament organised by Underground | Community CS2. This is, of course, a tournament aimed primarily at underground teams, with no entry fee whatsoever and a prize pool of just 500 PLN. The group draw took place on 27 October, and we are now able to present the groups to you.
Group A
Here is the first group, featuring Victorie Nostre among our partners. The other teams they will be facing are: Koziołki Anki, Ignis Five, 404, Team Fairus Youngsters and Carpathian Roja. Naturally, our partner is the clear favourite in this group, and no one would be surprised if they topped the group. However, anything can happen, especially in tournaments of this calibre.
Group B
In Group B, we find two of our partners this time: Team Fairus and NPK Esport. Alongside them, of course, are teams that are not our partners, such as: Tuga Clan, Lunacy Gaming, Knagi Niebisza and Vision E-sport. Here, picking a clear favourite is quite difficult, if not impossible. All these teams are capable of playing good CS, just as all of them could disappoint. It will certainly be an interesting group to watch.
Group C also looks quite promising. Here we find: GV Esports, Vyce Clan, Team Perun, Golden 5, NPK Esport 2 and Visionary. Here too, there is likely to be a closely fought battle, whether for a place in the knockout stages or for the top spot. However, this group is clearly a cut below the rest, and it’s unlikely that any of the teams in it stand a chance of winning the entire tournament. Yet, as I mentioned earlier, CS 2 is a game of surprises and momentum. Anything can happen.
Group D
That leaves the final group, one in which we can expect M0CZODOL to dominate with ease. Nevertheless, the battle for the remaining qualifying spots is sure to be interesting and thrilling.
We’re in for some excitement, and certainly no small amount of it, in the near future. The matches have, of course, already begun, and we even know the first winners.
