A fresh team brimming with ambition
The world of Counter-Strike 2 is a rapidly evolving space where young players have the chance to make their mark alongside esports veterans. Every tournament could be a turning point in their careers. This is exactly where Excurity Gaming finds itself. A team whose players are just 18 years old (or younger) and are only just beginning their professional journey. It is a team made up of players full of energy and passion, who want to build their place among Polish teams step by step.
Although their young age might suggest a lack of experience, Excurity Gaming makes up for this with commitment, determination and a willingness to learn. They treat every training session and every match as an opportunity for growth. Team Liquid Total Clash EU became their first serious test on this journey. Thanks to their participation in this tournament, they were able to face more seasoned opponents and see how they fare in high-stakes competition.
Advancement without playing, but with motivation
Excurity Gaming’s first match of the tournament took a rather unusual turn, as their opponents failed to appear on the server. As a result, the young team secured automatic progression to the next round, which, of course, meant they were unable to showcase their skills just yet, but at the same time gave them a breather and time for further preparation. Such a start, though lacking in real competition, allowed them to enter the tournament without the pressure associated with an opening match and to focus fully on the upcoming, much tougher clashes.
Fighting to the end and victory on Mirage
The second match was a completely different story. Excurity Gaming faced their first real test, playing on the Mirage map, which requires both good tactical planning and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations. The match was extremely even from the very start. The first half ended with a narrow lead for Excurity, which gave them confidence but also required them to remain fully focused in the second half.
After switching sides, the young players demonstrated maturity in their decision-making and the ability to keep up with the pace set by their opponents. The crucial rounds were played with great awareness – making good use of their numerical advantage, better map control and effective communication. Thanks to this, they managed to close out the match with a score of 16:13 (vs team_Lacces), which not only secured their first tournament victory on the server but also gave the team a huge confidence boost for the rest of the competition.

A cold shower on Train
The third match proved to be quite a challenge for Excurity Gaming, and an important lesson at the same time. This time they had to compete on the Train map, which is known for favouring well-organised teams capable of rotating quickly and reading their opponents’ play effectively. From the very first rounds, it was clear that their opponents had more experience and were making better use of the map’s characteristics.
The first half ended with an unfavourable score of 2:10 for Excurity, which put them in a very difficult position. After the sides switched, the young players tried to turn the match around, but they lacked both the time and the space to take the initiative. Despite the efforts of the whole team, their rivals did not allow them to spread their wings, and the match ended with a score of 4:13 (vs NoSurrenderGG). It was a painful defeat, but at the same time a valuable lesson, showing which areas they should work on first and foremost. Above all, on communication and building cohesive team play on more demanding maps.

A new line-up full of potential
The tournament showed one thing – Excurity Gaming is a project with huge room for growth. The young age of the players is both their strength and their challenge. They still lack experience, but they are already capable of standing up to their rivals and winning close matches.

Outlook and next steps
Team Liquid’s first three matches in Total Clash EU were a rollercoaster of emotions. From an easy start, through an exciting win on Mirage, to a painful defeat on Train. The team has been eliminated from the tournament and will certainly try their luck in future ones. This is only the beginning of the journey, as the team has a solid foundation and – most importantly – time on their side. With each subsequent tournament, their experience will grow and their playing style will become more mature.
