The Young Stars Talents team are playing in the ESEA Main league for the second season running. Last season they finished with a 7–7 record, and this season they’ll match that at the very least. However, they are still in contention for the play-offs. At the same time, the academy has a much better record in ESEA Open10 and has already secured a play-off spot in Pot B, whilst the battle for Pot A is still ongoing.
How did Young Stars Talents fare in their recent matches?
In Tuesday’s match, our partner faced a well-known team that has risen far above the underground scene. It was Anonymo, who were the clear favourites for this clash. Despite this, strange things often happen in matches between these two Polish teams. It all played out on the de_nuke map, and Young Stars came very close to pulling off an upset, but in the end the favourites won the match 13–8.

On Thursday, our partner’s team had the chance to get back on track. They faced the Swedish side Hassle x CSK. Their opponents had already spent several seasons in this league. Although the match might have seemed very evenly matched at first glance, the Polish team managed to find a way past the Swedes, securing their seventh win of the season and a chance to fight for promotion.

Thanks to this victory, Young Stars Talents have secured a 7:5 record, which guarantees their survival in the Main league for another season at the very least. However, they still have a chance to fight for a place in the play-offs. If they win their final match of the regular season, they should secure a place in the play-offs, where they would compete for a spot in the ESEA Advanced league, which features many highly decorated teams.

How has Young Stars Academy been performing?
Young Stars Academy have been performing exceptionally well this season. We recently reported on their excellent winning streak, which saw them reach a 7:3 record (more HERE). However, they weren’t about to stop there; their next two matches went just as well.
On Monday, they faced the Russian team No Cap Team. The match took place on the de_train map, which is very often chosen by our partner and where they perform very well. This match was no exception to the rule, as Young Stars Academy crushed their opponents 13–2, giving them no chance whatsoever to put up a fight.

Our partner’s academy’s most recent match to date was against the Polish team Bobki esports. This time, the matches took place on the de_ancient map. Our favourites were the clear favourites, but it took a full 23 rounds to decide the winner. Ultimately, Young Stars Academy came out on top and added another victory to their record, this time with a score of 13:10.

Following these matches, our partner’s academy now has a record of 9:3 and has just one match left to secure a place in the play-offs. This match could be decisive in determining whether they manage to qualify for Play-off Pot A, where they would already be guaranteed a place in the Intermediate league for the next season. Their final opponent in the regular season will be the French team Five NoName.
