There’s been quite a bit going on recently, and we haven’t yet taken stock of how VoFoxen are faring in the second stage of the Arrmy Open. Given that they’ve swept aside their rivals like a storm, there’s every reason to be optimistic ahead of the ‘final’ clash, which will decide who secures promotion to the higher division, Rising. So it’s time to take a look at the highlights from the Foxes’ three matches in these play-offs so far.
The Foxes on the attack — dominance in the Arrmy Open play-offs?
VoFoxen haven’t looked back in the play-offs, consistently eliminating one rival after another and confirming that the battle for Rising is not just a fleeting flash of form for them, but a clearly defined goal. Match after match, they have proven that they can keep their cool, effectively capitalise on their strengths and ruthlessly capitalise on every mistake their opponents make.
VoFoxen 2–0 PolisHackerS

VoFoxen began their playoff campaign with… a win in which they didn’t even have to log onto the server. Their first opponent, PolisHackerS, failed to turn up for the veto, meaning the Foxes advanced to the next round without a fight. Although neither the players nor the fans were likely expecting this, a win is a win. And the extra time could be put to good use, for example, for a relaxed training session ahead of their next, actual clash.
VoFoxen 2:0 koxyy
13:7 | Inferno
The second playoff clash – and the first real challenge for VoFoxen – kicked off on Inferno, the map chosen by koxyy. With the choice of side, the Foxes opted for defence and quickly showed that it was a spot-on decision. Controlling the flow of the game, they finished the map with a score of 13:7. The standout player was Szuti, who racked up an impressive 23 kills with just 14 deaths. Close behind him were JeykeS and Stich, each contributing 19 kills.
13:5 | Nuke
The second map in the series was Nuke – naturally, this was VoFoxen’s pick, and they quickly proved they hadn’t ended up here by chance. Their opponents started on the CT side, theoretically the easier one, but were unable to find a way to counter the Foxes’ effective play. Excellent tactical preparation allowed VoFoxen to confidently control the flow of the match and close out the series with a 13:5 victory. Once again, Szuti shone, racking up 23 frags with just 10 deaths. Second place in the qualifiers went to .zeus with 18 frags and 12 deaths.
VoFoxen 2–0 StylFrancuski
13:7 | Mirage
The foxes’ next clash on their path to promotion saw them face off on Mirage, the map chosen by StylFrancuski. This time, with the choice of side, VoFoxen once again started on the defensive side. Although their opponents managed to cause a few minor problems, the Foxes quickly regained control of the game and comfortably closed out the map with a 13:7 victory. In the stats, .zeus led the way with 21 kills and just 10 deaths, closely followed by JeykeS with 17 kills.
13–6 | Nuke
The second map of this clash was once again Nuke, selected by VoFoxen. Although the opposition managed to win one more round than their predecessors, the 13–6 result clearly shows that the Foxes were still in control of the game. You could say the cunning foxes had caught their prey. The only question is, will they soon secure their place in Rising too? Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait to find that out, but for now, let’s take a look at the statistics from this map. Unsurprisingly, Szuti once again topped the leaderboard, eliminating 22 opponents whilst dying 11 times. Close behind him was JeykeS with 18 frags and 14 deaths.
Time for the promotion match — who will the foxes hunt down this time?
VoFoxen face their final hurdle on the road to promotion to Rising. Who they’ll have to take down this time will be decided by the clash between PEACH ICE TEA TEAM and Made In Poland. Regardless of who emerges victorious, the Foxes will need to stay fully focused, because as the saying goes, ‘he who is too clever by half loses twice’.
