Last season was a decent one for Firewolf Clan, as they finished with an 8–6 record in the regular season and secured promotion to the Entry League in the play-offs. However, there have been some changes over the off-season, which we covered in this article. Now, with their new line-up, the Wolves will be aiming to climb another tier to the Intermediate league.
Opening match – Firewolf Clan vs Penta Leveling
Our partner’s first opponent this season turned out to be the German team, Penta Leveling. The match began with the opposition taking a 2–0 lead. Firewolf Clan managed to fight back twice, levelling the score at 2–2, and thanks to a very strong run, they even took a 5–2 lead. The opponents tried to respond, but our partner wouldn’t let them draw level. The first half ended 7–5 in Poland’s favour.
The first half was good, but the second must be just as good – and ideally even better. Unfortunately, the second half began with the opponents winning the pistol round, which quickly levelled the score. They even managed to take the lead, but the Polish team quickly put a stop to their momentum, bringing the score back to a draw, this time 8–8. From that point on, the Wolves set about winning rounds, a run that only ended when the score reached 11–8. Our opponents also went on a similar run, levelling the score at 11–11. They even managed to create one chance to win the whole match, but our partner wouldn’t let that happen, and so we were treated to extra time.
The first half of the first extra round ended 14–13 in favour of the Germans, giving them the chance to finish the match after two rounds. The start of this extra time, however, gave us a feeling that we’d be seeing more extra time, especially as our partner won the first round. Despite this, our opponents once again had a chance to win the match and once again failed to capitalise on it.
The next round of extra time started even better for our opponents than the previous one, as they won it 3–0, earning themselves as many as three chances to win the match after the sides swapped ends. The first two were squandered, but the final, decisive one was converted, and the match ended in a 19–17 defeat for Firewolf Clan.

A match to bounce back from rock bottom – Firewolf Clan vs Atmosferka
It’s no secret that the Poles are the toughest opponents to face. Firewolf Clan had to take on the Poles in their next match, which would decide whether they would start the season with a 1:1 or 0:2 record. This match began much like the previous one, with the difference that our partner decided to force a round in the second round, which was broken by their opponents, giving them a 3:0 lead. It was time for Firewolf Clan to fight back, but only for a single round, after which the opponents extended their lead to 5–1. After that, the Wolves went on a good run, culminating in a contact point, which went to waste as our opponents won the next three rounds, ending the first half with a score of 8–4.
The second half began with Firewolf Clan winning the pistol round, which quickly brought the score to 6–8. From that point on, however, it was the opponents who went on a good run, ending with a score of 11–6. Our partner tried to fight back, but a single round made little difference, and the opponents easily closed out the match, winning it 13–7.
