Sunday was an exceptionally busy day for Team Fairus. The team spent the whole day on the server, playing no fewer than three matches as part of the Underground Rivals tournament. The schedule was tight, and the opponents varied. However, each match unfolded in a completely different way… From confident victories to moments that really tested the team’s mettle. How did Fairus ultimately fare? Let’s take a look at their esports marathon.
A hectic day at the UG Rivals tournament
Fairus didn’t have an easy task… Three matches in a single day is a challenge for both concentration and stamina. Despite the intense pace, the team approached every match with full commitment. You could see their desire to show their best side and prove that Team Fairus can play with passion, determination and composure even with a tight schedule.
Team Fairus 13:3 Vision Esport | Mirage
Fairus started the day with a bang. From the very first minutes, it was clear that the team had entered the match with the right mindset. On Mirage, they played confidently, with control and composure, as if they wanted to send a clear message: “We’re here to win”. Subsequent rounds only cemented their lead, and the whole match was played under Team Fairus’s complete control. Vision Esport tried to find a way to break their opponents’ rhythm, but on this day the gap was simply too wide. The 13:3 scoreline was not only impressive but also symbolic… It was a true display of the team’s strength and form to kick off the marathon.
Team Fairus 13:1 NPK | Ancient
If the first match was strong, the second was nothing short of a demonstration. Fairus showed immense confidence and consistency on Ancient. Every element fell into place for them, from the pace of the game to teamwork and communication. It was clear that the team was in the groove and making full use of the energy from their earlier victory. NPK couldn’t find a foothold, whilst Fairus picked up the pace round by round. The 13:1 scoreline is more than just a number; it reflects their dominance and complete control over the match. This match showed that the team can play with class when everything starts to click.
Team Fairus 5:13 Lunacy Gaming | Dust 2
The third match was a completely different story. Dust 2 brought more tension and excitement, but also fatigue, which was starting to take its toll after the two previous matches. Lunacy Gaming made things tougher, and every round demanded even more focus and energy from Team Fairus. Despite a spirited fight, on this day it was the opponents who rose to the occasion in the crucial moments, closing out the match with a 5:13 scoreline. Although the result wasn’t favourable, it’s hard to speak of disappointment. Fairus showed character and determination right to the very end, even when things weren’t going their way. This match brought a long day to a close, but it also showed that the team can maintain their sporting class regardless of the result.
Team Fairus 1–13 Tuga Clan
Before Team Fairus began their Sunday marathon, they had a difficult start to the tournament. The match against Tuga Clan ended in a crushing 1-13 defeat, which could have deflated the spirits of many a team. For Team Fairus, however, it proved to be a moment of reflection. The team clearly regrouped, put their emotions aside and returned to the game with renewed energy. It was precisely after this unsuccessful start that we saw their true colours… Determined, confident and hungry for victory. The subsequent matches were like a response to the earlier slip-up. A true display of maturity and strength of character, which can only be forged through defeat.
What next?
After four matches, Team Fairus has a balanced record and is still in contention for a place in the next phase of UG Rivals. The team likely has one more crucial match ahead, which could decide their fate. If they maintain the pace and focus from their opening matches, they could still cause quite a stir in the tournament.
