The past few weeks have been a time of reflection and change for Excurity Gaming. The team, which had been competing with a stable line-up over recent months, has brought a certain chapter of their time together to a close. Although their run was short-lived, it brought plenty of excitement, competition and commitment, all of which help to build the team’s true character. During this time, Excurity tried their hand at various tournaments. In doing so, the players gained valuable experience and tested themselves against other teams. Now, however, the time has come to draw a line under this chapter and move on.
From competing together to a symbolic farewell
From the start of August, Excurity Gaming competed with the same line-up. The team at that time consisted of agentpiesel, kasztan, prs, wisnia and szczechos. We first wrote about them following their appearance at the Team Liquid Total Clash EU. This group of five players gradually developed their own rhythm of play and style of teamwork. Although not all results went their way, they showed character and managed to secure 3rd place in the T&S Cup. For the team, this was a valuable achievement and confirmation that the direction they had chosen made sense.
Over the following weeks, the squad took part in various tournaments, testing their capabilities and gaining experience that might bear fruit in the future. At a certain point, however, the project began to draw to a natural close. As fate would have it, this happened on 3 November. On that day, a post appeared on their social media in which the organisation announced the end of its collaboration with the squad. Consequently, due to the long wait for the bracket in the Ascent Legacy Series, they decided to withdraw from further participation.
A new chapter in Excurity Gaming’s history?
The end of this partnership is unlikely to spell the end for the organisation itself. Excurity Gaming has made it clear that the decision to part ways with the squad is more of a natural progression rather than a split on bad terms. It is not yet known whether there are plans to form a new team… But judging by its activities to date, it is hard to imagine Excurity disappearing from the scene for long. The three-month adventure with this line-up has come to an end, but it was a story written with passion and commitment. And although the line-up featuring agentpiesel, kasztan, prs, wisnia and szczechos is stepping down from the scene, the project itself has certainly not had its final say.
