Following a run of five matches, which we covered in our previous article, Saturlity Esport returned to the servers of ESEA Intermediate Season 55 to play a further three matches. This time, the French side faced only teams from Finland. However, the results of this mini-series showed that the team is still searching for consistency in their play. However, following two defeats on Nuke, the long-awaited turning point finally came on Train. Although a 4–4 record after eight matches is still far from reassuring, Saturlity are showing that they can bounce back and fight to improve their position in the table.
Tough clashes on Nuke
The French side began the series of matches described here today with a clash against the Finnish team SubNormalS on the Nuke map. From the very first rounds, their opponents set the tone of the contest, capitalising on every mistake made by Saturlity Esport and consistently building a lead. The French squad tried to respond with the odd successful round… However, the pace dictated by their opponents prevented them from finding a steady rhythm. Although the score remained 4–8 at half-time, the second half was completely dominated by SubNormalS, who did not concede a single round and sealed their victory with a 4–13 scoreline. For Saturlita, it was a challenging match and a painful reminder of just how difficult Nuke can be. Especially in the context of competition at ESEA Intermediate level.
In the next match, the story unfolded in a very similar way. Saturlity played on Nuke once again, this time against the Finnish team Lentavat Lehmat. The start of the match was certainly not a successful one… Their opponents quickly took the lead, dominating the French side 3–9 in the first half. After the break, there was a clear desire to fight back and get back into the game, but the points gap proved too wide. Despite a few promising moments, the match ended 5–13. Saturlity Esport therefore had to accept another defeat, whilst also learning from it ahead of their next challenge.
Saturlity Esport’s breakthrough on Train
After two difficult matches, the moment both the players and the fans of Saturlity Esport had been waiting for finally arrived. However, in their clash with the Finnish side Pesujakuivaus60 on the Train map, the start did not suggest a breakthrough… The first half ended 4–8, and the French side’s play at times resembled their previous matches. Despite this, the team kept their cool and, after the sides switched sides, began to gradually take control of the match. Saturlity showed determination and consistency, gradually making up the deficit and seizing the initiative. Ultimately, the French team won 13–9, snapping their losing streak and returning to winning ways.
Despite a difficult start, Saturlity Esport proved that they can bounce back from defeats and learn from previous matches. The victory over Pesujakuivaus60 could prove to be a turning point in their campaign. It gives the French side not only some breathing space but also motivation ahead of their next matches. If they maintain the determination shown in their last match, the coming weeks could bring further progress and a return to form.
