One of the biggest amateur Counter-Strike 2 tournaments has just come to an end. And sure, you can call us out for describing Immunity: Return powered by Superiongg in this way. Especially when we look at the management team, where 100% of the staff are from our editorial team, but for better or worse, those are the facts. It’s a bit like that meme with Barack Obama taking credit for his own achievements.
Partners
As we were the organisers/co-organisers of this tournament, this won’t be a run-of-the-mill tournament recap. We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank our partners. Dreammachines for supporting us with their products. It’s thanks to this company that the tournament’s MVP and EVP won’t just be titles. Both players will receive a mouse and mousepad set, but you can probably read more about this on Immunity’s social media.
Arrmy.gg was in charge of the technical aspects, and you’re no doubt familiar with them from tournaments such as Arrmy Open, Rising and Masters. On behalf of Immunity, we’d like to thank them for their technical support of the tournament.
Did the favourite deliver?
Before the tournament began, many tipped TNC Esport as the eventual winners, and they were not wrong. Last Sunday, from 4 pm, we were able to watch the grand final in a BO5 format. To reach the final, TNC had to overcome teams such as: Modern Players (semi-final), doZera (quarter-final), and Hussars (round of 16). In the group stage, they faced Nexium POLteam, NoName Team, Awanturnicy, Insomnia Esport and Eco Bo Bieda. They didn’t lose a single map in the group stage itself. It’s worth noting that TNC Esport won the Return edition without losing a single map.
The second map of the semi-final from the “Absolute Cinema” series?
Looking at TNC Esport’s results, contrary to appearances, the most excitement wasn’t during the final, but during the semi-final match. At this stage of the tournament, they faced Modern Players, where the second map would have been worthy of a cinema broadcast and more. It is also worth noting that TNC Esport is one of two teams that did not pay the entry fee for the tournament. And it’s not that they didn’t want to pay… The team managed to win the first open qualifiers for the tournament. The second was won by Modern Players, who had to concede defeat to TNC Esport in the semi-finals.

Ice Age’s path to the final
The second finalist defeated our partner Nexium POLteam in the semi-finals, beat ViBe Gaming in the quarter-finals, and won quite comfortably against Awanturniki (formerly Horizon Prodigy) in the round of 16. In Group D, Epoka finished top of the group, just like TNC — they remained unbeaten. They competed against teams such as Mollitiem (now: Horizon Esports), Hussars, Tuga Clan, Visionary and Young Stars Talents, who decided to withdraw from the tournament at a certain stage.

Nexium POLteam take bronze
Third place in the tournament went to our partner, Nexium POLteam. Although the team’s fans, and others, probably didn’t imagine the match for the lowest spot on the podium would turn out this way. The opponent had trouble fielding a team for this match, and so POLteam took third place in the tournament, after walkovers on both maps. POLteam found themselves in the same group as the winners — TNC Esport — at the start of the tournament. They finished exactly second in the group. The Ice Age map proved to be the obstacle to reaching the final, as it thwarted our partner’s ambitions in the semi-final.

Coverage and results on the website
If you’d like to take a look at the group stage, check the results, or even the line-ups, we encourage you to visit our tournament coverage, where you can view the latest updates and past results:
MVP and EVP
The administrators have started compiling the statistics. This means that in the coming days we will find out who the tournament’s best player is, who will receive a kit from Dreammachines. The best player of the tournament from outside the winning team (the so-called EVP) will also be selected.
The Future of Immunity
We won’t give too much away so as not to spoil the fun for you and us. However, we can tell you that work on the next season/tournament is slowly getting underway, and there are strong indications that Immunity will not be a one-off tournament, but will be with us for the long haul.
The final broadcast ended with a graphic displaying the text “See you in 2026”. However, we are unable to specify the month or the exact start date, but as we are the ones working on the tournament, we can announce that the Immunity Discord server will be integrated with the website, which will be crucial in the context of a certain project that will be unveiled during the second season of Immunity in Counter-Strike 2.
