POLteam – a team at a crucial stage in its development
POLteam is a squad that has been building its reputation on the Polish Counter-Strike scene for quite some time. Although they are not yet among the very best, their determination and steady progress mean they are becoming increasingly recognised within the community. Proof of this is their latest success – promotion to ESEA Intermediate, which opens up new opportunities for them. They will soon be competing in the play-offs for ARRMA Rising. This is the moment when everything starts to pick up pace, and every move must be carefully considered.
A drop in the Cybersport rankings
However, esports, particularly at the team level, is rarely a straightforward path to the top. Although POLteam can boast of progress in the leagues, in the latest Cybersport ranking they have seen a drop, which has temporarily knocked them out of the top 30 teams in the country. This kind of situation is a wake-up call, but also an opportunity to regroup and learn from their mistakes. The team knows that good intentions alone are not enough to stay at the top, which is why the time has come for a significant boost in the form of a new coach.
The role of a coach – more than just tactics
The role in question is not limited to being someone who simply “draws up tactics”. POLteam is looking for a proper coach – someone who understands the mechanics of professional team play, can analyse match replays, draw specific conclusions from them, and then effectively implement improvements. But that is only one side of the coin. Equally important, if not more so, is the ability to work with people. Communication, trust, mentality – these elements are often decisive in CS. The team needs someone who can influence players not only with a mouse and keyboard, but above all with words and attitude.
Requirements for the new coach
The ideal candidate is someone with experience in a competitive environment – preferably with a coaching background, though this is not a prerequisite. What counts is knowledge, an understanding of the game at a tournament level, and a willingness to join the project with ambition. POLteam is a team that wants to develop in the long term. They are not looking for someone ‘for the short term’ who will operate on the sidelines. They want a coach who will be part of the team – a mentor, an advisor, and sometimes also the one who sets everything straight.

The aim is not only to return to the TOP 30 in Poland, but above all to build a team capable of competing on equal terms with the best. The organisation and the players themselves realise that this requires someone with a plan, the patience and the skills to implement it.
