As you’ll no doubt recall from our previous Ascent Legacy Series round-up, there was plenty going on last week. This time, however, we’ll be focusing on one specific team: Victoria Nostra. The ViNo squad has already played two matches and has comfortably secured its place in the next stage of the competition. But this is only part of the journey… ahead of them lies the final group stage match, which will ultimately determine their seeding for the later stages of the league. Before we look back at their journey in the group so far, we encourage you to check out our coverage to stay up to date with the ALS results.
Dominance or an uphill struggle? ViNo in Group A
As we mentioned in the introduction, Victoria Nostra has already played two matches in the Ascent Legacy Series. The ViNo squad has thus confirmed that their form is no fluke. Both matches ended in victories, and the team is confidently heading towards the next stages of the competition.
Victoria Nostra 13:5 North
Victoria’s first opponent in Group A was North. The match ended in a clear 13:5 victory for ViNo. Although we do not know the details regarding the map, the result itself shows that the team had complete control over the course of the match and did not allow their opponents to get a foothold. A win of this calibre sends a strong signal to rivals that ViNo is in top form and aiming for the top spots in the group.
Victoria Nostra 13:7 Chaos Esport | Mirage
Victoria played their second group match on the classic Mirage map. This time, their opponents were Chaos Esport, who proved to be a slightly tougher challenge than their previous opponents. The 13:7 scoreline shows that the match was more difficult and required greater concentration from ViNo. Despite a few successful rounds from their rivals, it was the Victoria Nostra players who maintained control of the game and secured a comfortable victory. In doing so, they booked their place in the group final and retained their spot in the upper bracket.
Group A final and the battle for seeding
Thanks to two victories, Victoria Nostra finds itself in a comfortable position ahead of the group stage final. Although qualification for the next round is already assured, the stakes remain high. It is this final match that will determine the final seeding in the play-offs. And a better position in the table means not only prestige but also a potentially easier path in the bracket.
In summary, ViNo has proven that it can win both one-sided matches and more demanding encounters where concentration and resilience under pressure are key. The team’s fans can therefore look to the future with optimism. The team’s form is on the up, and the most important matches are still to come.
