Just yesterday, Angry Wolves announced via their Facebook page that they had finalised a transfer involving Kamil “KamilPonin11” Ponin.
The club, which finished third in the ProLeague Polska second division last season – a result that secured their promotion to the top flight – has already made its first signing for the new season. However, we suspect they won’t stop there, and we’ll soon be reporting on further signings by this “newcomer” to ProLeague Polska.
It’s also worth mentioning a match from a few rounds ago in VPG Polska, where Angry Wolves hosted the “Immortals” team. Ultimately, thanks to a late goal to make it 2–1, our partner secured three points.
Angry Wolves currently sit in 11th place in the VPG Polska top flight, on 22 points. They are three points clear of the relegation zone (14th place). As it happens, yesterday the Angry Wolves players hosted further teams as part of their VPG Polska fixtures. From the three matches played, they managed to pick up as many as six points, which will go a long way towards potentially securing their place in the league.
Let’s start with their first match yesterday, when they hosted Sokół Ostróda at their home ground at 8.15 pm. The match ended 1–0.

The Angry Wolves players have dodged the worst
Five minutes before the start of the Poland v Malta match, our partner kicked off their match against The Bulls Team. Judging by the Polish national team’s style of play, it’s probably just as well that the Angry Wolves players logged on to the server. Although our partner suffered a 0–3 defeat, they were spared the first half of the Polish national team’s lacklustre performance. In this match, one has to measure one’s strength against one’s ambitions, as The Bulls Team are generally a side from the top half of the table, fighting for the highest honours, so even snatching a single point in this fixture would be a surprise. In the past, we might have said this was comparable to Malta scoring a goal. Unfortunately, these days, that’s no longer really relevant.

Surprise of the round
Angry Wolves rounded off the day with a match against Iron Ravens. An away fixture, it’s worth noting. The gap between these sides stood at around 12 points. The Iron Ravens are generally a mid-table or upper-half side, so we can certainly call this a surprise result, as Angry Wolves came away with all three points. They defeated the Iron Ravens 4–1. This could surely be called the surprise of the round, couldn’t it?

Finally, it’s worth noting that the latest signing – Kamil “KamilPonin11” Ponin – played in all three of yesterday’s matches, in the defensive central midfield position.
