Last season, in the ESEA Intermediate group stage, they finished with a 9-5 record; in the play-offs (Bracket B), their record stood at 3-2. These results were enough to secure promotion to ESEA Main. How has our partner, Constrict Gaming, been faring in ESEA Main so far? Today we’ll take a closer look at their matches, as they’re really worth watching.
A poor start for Constrict Gaming
Let’s be clear: Constrict Gaming didn’t get off to the best start in their debut season in ESEA Main. They faced Souls Heart, a team that had played in ESEA Main the previous season, so they certainly had more experience. The match took place on Nuke, where, after the first half, our partner were trailing 4–8. In the second half, they won the same number of rounds, but the match ended in an 8–13 defeat.

Only two of our partner’s players had positive stats, though this is hardly surprising, as it’s rare for anyone to have good stats with results like these, and Constrict certainly know that this wasn’t their best match, either individually or as a team. We’ll be striving to continually improve the system, which may affect the ratings.

The second match didn’t even take place. Constrict were due to face ‘PGATOUR’, but, much like in some situations in Class B, the opposition failed to field a full squad, and our partner won by walkover.

A display of strength at the gala
How else could you describe a match with a score of 13–4? Once again, we saw a dominant performance in this match, with the opposition winning just one round in the first half. Their best half was the second, where they won three times as many rounds as in the first. On an individual level, _DenisM shone on the server, racking up 24 eliminations and just 8 deaths.

Another match tomorrow
Matches in the ESEA Main and Intermediate divisions are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays, unlike those in the Open division. Tomorrow at 8.30 pm, our partner will take on The le bobix. The Ukrainian team currently has a 1-2 record, so our partners are likely to be the favourites for this match.
