The regular season of ArrMY’s 16th season is now behind us, having provided plenty of excitement at every level of the competition over the past few weeks. From the Open division, through Rising, right up to Masters. Teams in each division battled it out for the best possible positions, which would secure them promotion to the next stages or a direct ticket to the LAN finals. For some teams, this was a chance to prove they were in top form; for others, it was their last chance to keep the fight alive for the season’s most important goals.
The line-up also included organisations from our partner programme. In total, we watched seven teams competing across three different divisions, with most of them managing to secure promotion to the next stage of the competition. However, there were also disappointments and situations where the final result was decided by literally a single place in the table. So let’s take a look at how the group stage ended for all our partners and who remains in contention for a place at the ArrMY LAN Finals.
Arrmy Open
As usual, the Open division was the most numerous, with ‘two’ teams representing our partners. NPK II Esport performed significantly better, maintaining consistent form from the start of the season and finishing the regular season in 35th place with a 6–2 record. This result secured the team a place in the play-offs, where they will compete for one of the spots that qualify for the LAN finals. The team now faces the most crucial part of the season, in which every subsequent match will be of immense importance in the battle for the coveted promotion.
VoFoxen OldBoys were slightly less fortunate. The team finished the competition with a 5–3 record, which saw them finish in 99th place. In most seasons, such a result would have offered a realistic chance of promotion… However, this time fewer than 350 teams took part in the Open. As a result, only the top 96 teams qualified for the play-offs. As a result, VoFoxen OldBoys fell just three places short of progressing to the next stage. This shows just how small the margins were in determining the final league table and how valuable every match win proved to be. It is hard not to get the impression that, with a slightly larger number of participants or a slightly better round record, the team would also have had the chance to continue their bid for the LAN finals.
ArrMY Rising
Our partners had far more reasons to be pleased in the ArrMY Rising division, where all three teams from the programme secured promotion to the play-offs. As a result, each of our partner teams remains in contention for a place in the LAN finals. Indeed, the group stage alone demonstrated that the teams are capable of competing effectively against the top sides in their groups.
Visionary performed best, finishing the Group B competition in an excellent 2nd place with a 7–1 record. The team maintained a very consistent form throughout almost the entire season, losing just one match. Nisla Rakov also put in a very solid performance, finishing the group stage with a 6–2 record. This, in turn, secured them a place among the top eight in the group and a comfortable progression to the next stage without any major difficulties.
Constrict Gaming, however, provided the most excitement. The team finished the regular season with a 5–3 record, taking 7th place. Although their final position left little room for error, it proved sufficient to secure a place in the play-offs. Ultimately, the objective was achieved, and all the teams from Group B remain in contention for a place in the finals. It is worth noting that the top eight teams from each of the Rising groups progress to the next stage. Consequently, every victory was of immense importance for the final standings.
ArrMY Masters
ArrMY’s top division brought our partners a wide range of emotions. It is in the Masters that the strongest teams of the entire season compete. That is why every match won is of immense importance in the battle for the LAN finals. Vandals Clan have had a fantastic season, dominating the regular season and finishing in 1st place with a record of 8–1. This result means not only top spot in the table but also direct qualification for the LAN finals. Without having to play in any additional play-offs. This is further proof of the team’s excellent form, having been among the very best in the competition throughout the season.
VoFoxen Esports have less cause for celebration. The team finished the regular season in 7th place with a 4–5 record, which unfortunately was not enough to keep them in the running for the title. Although the team managed to put up a close fight against many of their rivals, they ultimately fell a few wins short of joining the group of teams competing for further qualification. In the Masters, only the top two teams qualify directly for the LAN finals. Teams finishing in 3rd to 6th place, however, compete in the play-offs for the remaining two places. Seventh place therefore marks the end of VoFoxen Esports’ participation in ArrMY’s 16th season at the regular season stage. That said, simply qualifying for the top division and having the chance to compete against the best teams in the country can certainly be considered a valuable experience.
Who remains in the running for the finals?
The regular season of ArrMY’s 16th season proved to be very successful for the teams from our partner programme. Of the seven teams representing it, as many as five remain in contention for the season’s top honours. Vandals Clan deserves a special mention, as they can already start preparing for the LAN finals. Of course, equally important is the full line-up of partners from the Rising division, who have all secured their places in the play-offs.
Although this year’s ArrMY adventure has already come to an end for VoFoxen OldBoys and VoFoxen Esports, both teams have shown that they can compete at a high level. Now all the fans’ attention will turn to the upcoming play-offs, which will determine the next participants in the LAN finals. They will also reveal whether our partners can build on their successful regular season to achieve even greater success.
