It’s been ages since our last article on EA Sports FC 26. It’s high time we changed that. Our last piece was published at the end of May this year, where we covered the YNG SKiLLZ squad for the new season and their first matches in the VPG Polska first division. Since that article, our partner has played no fewer than 23 matches. You have to admit we’ve been a bit slow off the mark. The article below is a follow-up:

Could it have gone better?

We’ll try to answer that question in this article. At the moment, our partner sits in 12th place in the league. Six wins, seven draws and fifteen defeats. 36 goals scored, 53 conceded. A negative goal difference of -17. This record translates to 25 points.

The match against Elektryczni Esport at our home ground went our
partner’s way, as they won the match 2–1 . Shortly after that match, YNG
took on Dach Esport . It was one of those less thrilling matches, but
crucially for YNG fans — a victory; the 1–0 win secured
a further three points . The clash with Iron Ravens
(an away fixture) ended in a 1–1 draw. Another victory came
away from home, against Golden Goats . On 1 June, our partner had to
conceded defeat to their rivals. This time it was the Angry Wolves who won 2–0
.

The away match against Casual Kickers went our partner’s way —
YNG returned with all three points after a 2–1 victory. At home,
, however, they had to share the points with OM3N eSports , drawing
2–2 . Things went less well in the next home fixture, in which The Bulls Team proved
the better side, winning 2–1 . The winless run
continued — they suffered a 2–1 defeat away to GSK Esport .
The run ended with a goalless 0–0 draw in an away match against
Cunning Foxes .

It was definitely a period to forget for YNG. Away to
The Separatists , our partner lost 1–2 , and things went just as badly
in the away fixture against Mendeksy — a 0–1 defeat. At
their own ground, things were even worse: the Golden Goats thrashed YNG
4–1 , whilst the Cunning Foxes proved ruthless, winning 5–2 . The run ended with a 0–1 away defeat to Vendetta PL

After a difficult spell, YNG are back on track. They secured a thrilling 3–2 away win against
CocoGang eSport , and at
their home ground, our partner thrashed Casual Kickers 4–0
. An away fixture against Elektryczni Esport ended in a
1–1 draw. However, there were a few slip-ups — in an away match against OM3N eSports
YNG lost 0–2 , and in a high-scoring home match, Dach Esport
came out on top, winning 6–5 .

A day to forget for YNG. On home turf, our partner lost 0–1 to
Angry Wolves , before being thrashed 4–0 away by
The Bulls Team . The home match against
GSK Esport also didn’t go as the fans had hoped — a 2–4 defeat.

There’s still a bit to go until the end of the season. Some teams are already certain to be relegated. Take Casual Kickers, for example, who have just 3 points to their name. Does YNG SKiLLZ have a chance of a higher finish? Realistically, 11th place is within their reach. They are currently 9 points adrift of 10th place and have no mathematical chance of making up that deficit.

On 9 July, YNG have two matches coming up in the VPG Poland 1st Division .
At 20:40 , our partner will host Iron Ravens at their home ground —
a rival from the bottom of the table (14th place, 23 points ) — so this will be a good opportunity to add another
three points to their tally. Less than half an hour later, at 21:05 , the team faces
a much tougher away fixture against Limitless , who, with
34 points, sit in 10th place and are performing significantly better this season.
A full haul of points from these two matches would be a significant step in the battle to escape the relegation zone.
