The previous Hussars line-up under their banner didn’t even last a full month, as exactly 28 days later, Hussars announced the break-up of their Counter-Strike 2 squad. The day before yesterday, they announced a new line-up. We hope we won’t be writing about the break-up of yet another squad in 29 days’ time.
The lads mentioned above have already made their debut for Hussars. The match took place as part of the ESEA Intermediate, and our partners’ latest signings faced off against “AllEyesOn”.
The whole match ended in victory, with our partner winning 13–6.

After nine rounds, the new Hussars line-up has a record of eight wins and three defeats, which definitely secures their place in the next stage of the tournament – the play-offs. Today at 20:00, they will host another team in the ESEA Intermediate – STHLM City. Their opponents have a much poorer record, at 6-5, making our partner the favourites for this match.

We also conducted a short interview with the owner of the Hussars – DormiZ.
- Please introduce yourself to our readers.
- Hello, my name is Kamil “DormiZ” Waleszczak and for over a year I have been the founder of the Hussars organisation, formerly known as “HARDACE”. In my spare time, I’m interested in basketball, volleyball and esports, which I’ve been involved in for quite some time now.
- Can you tell us what the split with the last CS2 squad was like? On what terms did it happen?
- As for the split with the previous line-up, from my perspective the situation seemed unprofessional, because – as is typical under ‘Polish conditions’ – I found out via Messenger that one member of the line-up was leaving, and that the other two didn’t see the point in trying to find a fifth player – that’s more or less how it played out. I didn’t want to press them to stay or try to revive the team, as I’d already seen a lack of fighting spirit in them, so I decided to go ahead with plans for their ‘replacements’.
- Do you think there’s potential for the next squad to be better than the previous one?
- The current squad has greater potential and is more committed to striving to be better. I’d say they have the potential to be better than their predecessors, and I want them to prove that during Galaxy Cup 3.
- What goals have you set for the new squad? What do you want to achieve with them, and what are your plans for the coming months?
- As for our goals, the lads and I have already agreed on how we see things and what we want to achieve; I don’t really want to give too much away just yet, but you’ll find out everything in due course when they make their first appearance in the Underground.
- Over the last six months, you’ve had about three-quarters of your line-ups. Why do you think you’re struggling to find a line-up that will represent your colours for any length of time? Or is this perhaps not your problem at all, but rather, say, down to the ‘Polish mentality’?
- As for such high squad turnover, it’s usually been down to a lack of immediate commitment or certain players ‘burning out’. You could call it the ‘Polish mentality’ because, to be honest, I can count on one hand how many players are currently playing for other teams.
- Do you have any advice for future owners or managers on how to run a team?
- I’ve had about 4–5 years’ experience of managing teams, and my most important piece of advice is definitely to get to know a person for who they really are. Every player, or the whole squad, will always want to show themselves in the best possible light and won’t want to reveal their weaker side, but sometimes showing that weaker side is a crucial aspect, because then you know that these people trust you.
- To what extent does your investment in this project pay off?
- As for the financial side of things, I can reveal that for me, the most important aspect is helping the lads develop, whether they’re from Main or Young.
- Was there ever a moment when you had doubts about this project?
- I’m not the sort of person who gives up easily; I may have had my doubts, but they weren’t serious enough for me to want to call it a day – on the contrary, it fuels my determination to fight for what I want to show the Polish scene.
- What’s your favourite match or story related to a match from an owner’s perspective?
- I don’t think I have a favourite match just yet, but as for the best story, it’s memories from the old days when things looked completely different from a management perspective compared to how they are now.
- Thank you for your time. Would you like to add anything else?
- Yes, that you must never doubt your own abilities, because there’s always a chance – even if it’s just a tiny percentage – but it’s always there.
