It’s no surprise that Hussars have reached the ARRMY Rising S12 final. Their recent results speak for themselves. They recently secured their place in the ARRMY Masters by winning their match against Five Mana, as we reported in this article. However, they’re still in the running, as there’s 500,000 in virtual currency up for grabs on the ARRMY website.
In the semi-finals of this tournament, our partner faced a ‘walkover’. The team’s players had previously knocked out SLAKE, beating them 2–1 across the maps. As a result, Hussars became the only partner to secure promotion to ARRMY Masters via ARRMY Rising. But back to the match: Hussars – a walk in the park. The match featured all three maps that had been selected. First up was dust2, chosen by the opponents, followed by train, selected by Hussars, and anubis as the decider. Although there wasn’t a single overtime on any of the maps, the whole match can easily be counted amongst the most thrilling and evenly matched. We saw a fierce battle on every map. The team that made fewer mistakes would advance to the final of the tournament. Ultimately, it was Hussars who made fewer mistakes, as they won 2–1. The first map ended 11–13; without a comeback, they took the lead in the match, 1–0 in maps, but don’t worry, that map was their choice. The next map, as we mentioned, was Train, chosen by the Hussars. Here, the result was in our partner’s favour – 13–10. As you might have gathered from what we wrote earlier, the next map also went to the Hussars, this time with a score of 13–11, and it was Anubis. As the good old saying goes, ‘If you don’t win 2–0, you lose 2–1.’
2–1 vs. no comeback
dust2 11:13
train 13:10
anubis 11:13
This means the Hussars advance to the ARRMY Rising play-off final, where they’ll be competing for 500,000 e$. We don’t yet know who their opponent will be. The second semi-final takes place today at 21:00. The “energolek” team will host “ATP”. It’s worth noting that former Hussars players are now playing for energolek, so if they were to reach the final, we’d be seeing a clash with the past.
