On 2 August this year, Constrict Gaming parted ways with a player in a rather unpleasant manner. We’re not suggesting here that Constrict handled the player’s departure poorly, but rather that the player himself did not behave appropriately. In short, Igor “JKL” Mącznik left the team without any notice and without saying goodbye to the squad. Unfortunately, this situation is not unfamiliar to me, as I have encountered a similar reaction on numerous occasions whilst building my own team. It’s worth noting, however, that in my case it was at a much lower level, and over the eight months I spent building the team, I encountered this sort of ‘farewell’ on several occasions. I had assumed, however, that such instances were rather rare at a ‘higher level’. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
We didn’t have to wait long before our partner posted another tweet, announcing that they were looking for a new player to replace the previous ‘offender’. You can join Constrict today, but before you do, make sure you’re familiar with the requirements, which include, amongst other things, age and a minimum of 6,000 hours played in Counter-Strike 2/GO. Constrict is a team that focuses mainly on ESEA competitions; in recent seasons, we haven’t seen them in Arrmy.

We’ll likely see a stand-in in action during the ESEA tournament. We’ll probably meet the new player in a few weeks’ time, but in the meantime the organisation will be fielding a reserve player, at least in the ESEA Main, where they currently have a 2-3 record. The next match is tomorrow at 8.00 pm. Their opponents will be “ex-Altay Espor”. We wish them the best of luck!
Elimination from the Galaxy Cup
Prior to this unfortunate turn of events for Constrict Gaming, our partner faced off against “Kolba” in a do-or-die match during an offline tournament organised primarily by the Galaxy Cup. In their previous match, with a 2-1 record, they were defeated by Horizon – though we’ve already covered that earlier.
At the start, we watched our partner play on Ancient, though it didn’t end well for Constrict, who lost the first map 6–13. After losing that map, we moved on to Inferno, which also ended with the same result (6–13). Constrict were knocked out of the Galaxy Cup in the group stage with a 2–3 record. The whole squad now certainly faces the task of working hard to find the fifth piece of the jigsaw. We hope that this time they manage to find a solid player who has at least a little bit of honour.
Galaxy Cup, Group Stage Round 5Since their match against Kolba, our partner’s players have also played their first match in the Summit Clash. In that match, they faced another of our partners, Valiance.gg. They managed to win the match 13–6, with the entire match taking place on Overpass.
