In this year’s edition of EA FC 25, Esport First entered the VPG Poland and VPG Europe leagues in Division Four. The squad has undergone quite significant changes compared to the previous season, where ESF won the bronze medal three times, securing third place in the EU league on two occasions – which secured promotion to a higher division – and third place in the 4FUN league. A lesser achievement was first place in the group stage of the Summer Cup, where ten teams from the Polish WK scene competed in the group stage and the return round.

Below is a short interview with the captain of Esport First, Sebastian “mrowa1991” Mrowca
[R] First off, hello Sebastian!
[O] Hello
[R] We can see two goalkeepers and only three strikers in the squad; aren’t you worried that these positions are understaffed?
[O] Yes and no. If we look at the squad and the number of players, it seems fine, and it all depends on the availability of specific players in those positions.
[R] We can see a few players returning to the squad, including Spejsonaldo, ciacho98 and Ws_bioly – how is the current form of the returning players? Have they managed to gel with your team again quickly?
[O] Yes, I’m glad the old faces are back. Each of the players mentioned above, as well as others, bring quality to the team. As for the players’ form itself, it varies; mainly because we’re constantly looking for balance in the line-up, but things are slowly heading in the right direction.
[R] There are also a few new players, including ‘Matjelko’ – what do you think of him?
[O] Matje is a newcomer to the scene, and after the first day of trials, his quality and versatility were evident. I’m sure he’ll become a key figure for our team.
[R] The sudden departure of your star striker just before the start of the season certainly affected the team and your tactical set-up. Do you think the team is now ready for the ongoing VPG season, or are there still things to improve?
[O] Losing a key player who was the driving force behind our attack just before the start of the season is bound to have an impact, as was evident from the early results.
As for our current form, after a difficult start, everything is moving in the right direction.
However, since we’re on the subject of departures, I’d like to ask the League admins to introduce some restrictions so that players also take responsibility for leaving, e.g. the day before the league starts or the end of the transfer window. The best idea would be to make it mandatory for a player to inform the captain two weeks in advance of such a possibility; this would allow time to find a replacement and avoid unpleasant situations, such as teams breaking up, for example, if several players announce their departure 24 hours beforehand.
