In recent years, many players and fans have been following the progress of one particular Polish team – a team that has earned recognition for its successes and professional approach. Now, however, the team’s future hangs in the balance. Hussars have announced the suspension of their activities for an indefinite period. Consequently, the Hussars’ players are looking for new teams that will allow them to continue developing their careers. At the same time, the organisation emphasises that the decision to suspend activities does not necessarily mean a definitive end… A return for Hussars in the future remains a possibility.
Later in this article, we will look at the context of the decision, the team’s achievements and the players’ plans.
Why are the Hussars suspending operations?
In an official post, the Hussars’ CEO announced the suspension of esports activities for an indefinite period. As he explained, the main reasons for the decision are staffing shortages on the board and the limited time he can devote to the team. The owner also emphasised that he has devoted his whole heart to the team over the past few years and looks back on this time with great fondness.
The statement included words of thanks to current and former Hussars players, including Lienisko, Fajson, SNowRC, rabid and coach Vox. The CEO noted that the players will now be looking for new teams that can provide them with the right conditions for further development and competition.
Although the organisation has not achieved spectacular success since the takeover of the ex-Pandemonium team in July, they did manage to secure second place in the Feather Cup Autumn Edition and second place in the Plausible Gaming tournament. These, however, remain among the few achievements during this period.
The organisation also thanked its partners. Naturally, these included SuperionGG, Underground CS2 and SCL.GG. They also thanked all the fans for their support over the past few months. The CEO emphasised that the decision to suspend operations does not necessarily mean a definitive end, and that Hussars may return in the future.
What does the future hold?
Although the Hussars are suspending their activities, the players will be looking for new opportunities. The organisation, however, is leaving the door open for a return in the future. For fans and the Polish scene, this is a moment to reflect on the importance of stability and support for teams, both at tournaments and behind the scenes. It is also a reminder that every team, regardless of its past results, faces challenges requiring not only talent but also adequate organisational support. It is worth following the future careers of the Hussars players, who will certainly continue to seek opportunities for development and new challenges in the Polish and international scene.
