Another few weeks of competition in the 58th ESEA season are behind us, and the participants are slowly approaching the halfway point of the regular season. Most of our partners have already played several more matches. As a result, it is becoming increasingly clear which teams can aim for the top spots and which still need to make up ground. The last few days have seen no shortage of both one-sided matches and encounters decided only in the closing stages.
At the very top of the table, Vandals Clan continue their campaign, having added one win and one defeat to their record. VoFoxen Esport are performing even better, remaining one of the most effective teams in their division. Nisla Rakov has also sent out a positive signal, recording three consecutive victories. Panico eSports, meanwhile, is maintaining its strong position, whilst NPK Esport has quickly returned to winning ways after a single defeat.
ESEA Main and Intermediate – the battle for the top spots
At the Main level, Vandals Clan have played two matches since the last round-up. The first of these did not go according to plan for the Polish side. On Mirage, ORGLESS proved the better side, winning 7–13. However, Vandals Clan soon had the chance to bounce back and seized it in their next match. On Ancient, they defeated Evo Novo 13–10, giving them a 4–3 record after seven rounds.
There have also been recent changes at Lunacy Gaming. Although the organisation has not yet published an official statement regarding the end of its partnership with the players, the current squad is continuing to compete in this ESEA season under a new name. At this stage, it is therefore difficult to say definitively what the future holds for the partnership. However, the situation will certainly require further updates from the parties involved.
VoFoxen Esport has far more cause for celebration. The team played as many as four consecutive matches and won them all. First, after an extremely close match, they defeated Sisyphus Gaming 16–13 in overtime on Ancient. This was followed by a 13–10 win over Les Frerots on Anubis. Later, VoFoxen Esport decisively defeated LEISURE Rebels, winning 13–5 on Mirage.
To round off this series, the team recorded their most one-sided victory yet, beating VAPE AUF 5 by a score of 13–2 on Ancient. Consequently, after eight rounds, VoFoxen Esport have seven wins to their name and just one defeat, which came by walkover. Their 7–1 record at the halfway point of the regular season puts them in a very strong position ahead of the coming weeks of competition.
ESEA Entry and Open10 – further victories and crucial points
Nisła Raków, competing in the Entry division, have also made excellent use of recent weeks. The team recorded three consecutive victories, which significantly improved their position in the table. The run began with a 13–5 win over 2k elo clowns on Dust 2. This was followed by a much more evenly matched encounter with Team Hidden. Ultimately, Nisla Rakov won 16–13 after extra time, once again on Dust 2.
The third match also ended in victory for our partner. This time, Nisla Rakov left little room for doubt, defeating Do Chrzanu 13–4 on Inferno. These three wins allowed the team to reverse their earlier losing streak and improve their record from 2–3 to 5–3. After eight rounds, the situation is looking much better, and the upcoming matches could see them climb further up the table.
In Open10, Panico eSports has now played three more matches. Superion.gg’s international partner began this series with two very convincing victories. First, they defeated XGEAR 13–7 on Cache, and then, on the same map, they beat Transpiratii 13–8. However, the most recent match did not yield a full haul of points. TeTRia Esports proved to be the better side, winning 11–13 on Dust 2. Despite this defeat, Panico eSports’ position remains very strong. The team currently has a 6–2 record, and their two previous wins have allowed them to remain among the teams that can realistically aim for a high position once the regular season concludes.
NPK Esports, meanwhile, played two matches, although it is worth noting that the team had previously made up for a missed round and, for a time, had played more matches than most of their rivals. They began the series with a 9–13 defeat to ZeroOneClan PHT on Anubis. However, NPK responded swiftly in the best possible way. In their next match, also on Anubis, they defeated CSuper 13–7 and got back to winning ways.
Time for the decisive part of the regular season
The coming weeks of the 58th ESEA season will become increasingly important for all our partners. Most teams have already played half of their matches, so the points earned in the upcoming rounds could prove increasingly significant in terms of the final league table.
VoFoxen Esport have been in the best form recently; with a 7–1 record, they can look forward to the rest of the season with confidence. Things are also looking very good for Panico eSports and Nisla Rakov, who are both in positive form following their latest results. Vandals Clan, meanwhile, remains in contention for the top spots in the Main division. NPK Esport, on the other hand, will be looking to continue their winning streak following their latest victory.
There are still plenty of matches left before the end of the regular season, but from this point on, every subsequent match will carry increasing importance. Our partners face another challenging few weeks of competition, which could ultimately determine their path for the rest of this ESEA season.
