From mixes to their own league. Łowcy Głów are our new partner

- -

As you are no doubt aware, we are constantly striving to expand our network of partnerships, the aim of which is to support and promote the Polish Counter-Strike 2 scene. Until now, our partners have mainly consisted of esports teams and tournament organisers. This time, however, a project of a slightly different kind is joining this group… A community bringing together hundreds of CS2 enthusiasts, known as Łowcy Głów.

This partnership is particularly interesting because it brings together two different areas of activity. On the one hand, we have a media portal dedicated to covering events from the amateur and semi-professional scenes. On the other, an active community of players which brings Counter-Strike fans together every day, organises joint matches and develops its own tournament initiatives.

Both parties have long been working to develop the Polish underground scene, so establishing this partnership seems a natural step. As representatives of Łowcy Głów emphasise, the aim of the partnership is to create even more space for players, esports fans and anyone who wants to actively participate in the Counter-Strike 2 community. In the coming months, we can look forward to joint projects, events and initiatives aimed at both regulars on the scene and those just starting their competitive journey.

Who are Łowcy Głów?

Łowcy Głów is a community created by players for players. The project was initially set up as a place to make it easier to find people to play with. However, over time, it has significantly expanded its activities. Today, it is an active group bringing together both long-standing Counter-Strike fans who remember earlier instalments of the series But also younger players taking their first steps in CS2. It is precisely this diversity of members that means you can find both seasoned veterans of the scene and people who are just beginning their adventure with online competition on the server.

As the creators themselves emphasise, the community has been built on a foundation of a relaxed atmosphere and mutual respect from the very beginning. As a result, what started as a simple lobby for finding players has gradually evolved into a place that many members describe as an online family. In Łowcy Głów, it’s not just about playing together, but also about building relationships and creating a space that users are keen to return to every day. It is precisely this aspect that has led to word of the community spreading across the Polish scene from the ground up, mainly thanks to recommendations from the users themselves.

The community is also growing in technical terms. The official organisation on FACEIT now has over 500 members. Meanwhile, day-to-day activity is supported by a comprehensive system based on Discord and integrations with the FACEIT platform. This makes organising group games, events or internal tournaments much simpler and more transparent. The regularly organised mix matches are particularly popular; for many people, they have become a daily way of spending time together playing CS2.

Behind the project are people who make no secret of the fact that they are still learning the ropes of the esports organisation world. However, their experience to date in organising smaller events has allowed them to draw many valuable lessons. Rather than focusing on rapid growth at any cost, Łowcy Głów are committed to consistently building trust within the community and developing new initiatives in a thoughtful and long-term manner. This approach means that the project is gradually strengthening its position amongst Polish communities centred around Counter-Strike.

From mix matches to their own tournaments

Although Łowcy Głów’s greatest strength remains its regularly organised mix events, the community is also looking increasingly boldly towards its own tournament projects. Currently, one of the main objectives is to set up a 2v2 league, which is set to become the first major test of the entire team’s organisational capabilities. It is this project that will demonstrate how the solutions developed by the community will work in practice. Above all, however, the question is whether participants’ interest will allow for the realisation of even larger undertakings.

The project is intended to serve as a taster for much larger initiatives planned for the future. The organisers make no secret of the fact that their long-term goal is to create a fully-fledged 5vs5 competition aimed at a wide range of amateur players. The 2v2 league is intended to test the solutions that have been prepared, gauge participants’ interest and assess the entire organisational infrastructure before launching a more extensive format. For Łowcy Głów, this will also be an opportunity to gain experience that may prove crucial when organising future events.

Importantly, the organisers intend to keep the entry barrier as low as possible. The planned events are to be free of entry fees, which is intended to encourage participation from those who have not yet had the opportunity to compete in more organised competitions. At the same time, attractive prizes are being prepared for participants, and the project itself is to be supported by a suitable budget allocated to the development of the competitions. The aim is not to hold a one-off tournament, but to create an event that will attract the community and lay the foundations for further initiatives.

This is precisely where there is scope for collaboration with our editorial team. The portal will support the promotion of the events, provide updates on the next stages of the competition and deliver coverage of the most important matches. For both parties, this is an opportunity for further development. For the wider community, this is yet another initiative that could have a positive impact on the Polish underground scene. If Łowcy Głów’s plans come to fruition, players may, in the coming months, gain a new space for competition, socialising and jointly developing their passion for CS2.

What does this partnership mean?

The partnership between Superion.gg and Łowcy Głów opens up new opportunities for both parties. On the one hand, the community gains media support and an additional channel for reaching players interested in amateur competition. On the other hand, our editorial team can work even more closely with the people who are actively building the Counter-Strike 2 community every day.

Most importantly, however, the benefits will be felt by the players themselves. Joint events, tournaments, coverage and future projects are set to create even more opportunities for socialising and competition. If everything goes according to plan, the coming months could prove to be a very interesting period – both for Łowcy Głów and for the entire community.
