A perfect group stage
Nexium POLteam is taking the group stage of the Summit Clash tournament by storm. The “Polish” line-up demonstrated not only exceptional skill but also the ability to win in all circumstances – from fierce, thrilling battles to confident, one-sided victories. Their perfect 6-0 record is no fluke, but the result of cool-headed calculation, refined tactics and nerves of steel at crucial moments. Now the team faces its most important test – the quarter-finals, with a place among the tournament’s elite at stake.
A strong start to the tournament
POLteam began their campaign with a clash against ValianceGG, which promised to be a fierce battle from the very first rounds. Both teams traded points, with neither side able to establish a clear lead. The closing stages proved to be the turning point – with the score at 11–11, the “Poles” executed a lightning-fast rotation, catching their opponents off guard on bombsite A. Keeping their cool at crucial moments and making effective use of their numerical advantage allowed them to secure a 13–11 victory and kick off the tournament on a high note.
First convincing win
Their second opponent was Gloris AC, and the match was played on a private server, which meant we were unable to find any information about the map being played. However, this did not prevent the lads from putting in a solid performance. The team controlled the pace from the outset, built up a lead and didn’t let their opponents back into the match. The 13–8 result showed that the team can get off to a flying start.
A thriller decided in extra time
The third match was a real rollercoaster of emotions against Armitra NXT (16:14). POLteam had to play catch-up, but they showed character and managed to force overtime. In extra time, every mistake could have cost them the win, but the “Poles” played with maturity – excellent use of utility heroes and effective finishing of attacks allowed them to tip the scales in their favour.
A tactical battle on Ancient
In their clash with Constrict Gaming, the team proved that tactical discipline and patience are their strengths. Their opponents tried to take control of the centre of the Ancient map, but the “Poles” successfully pushed them back. The closing stages proved crucial, with aggressive defensive plays sealing the map with a score of 13–11.
Dominance from the first round to the last
The fifth match, against ex-Pandemonium, was a display of complete control. POLteam imposed their style from the very first rounds, building a comfortable lead. Effective rotations and quick reactions to their opponents’ plays meant that the final score of 13–8 looked almost comfortable compared to the previous hard-fought matches.
A walkover or a ruthless demolition?
The regular season concluded with a match against Tenisufki. The 13:0 scoreline raises questions – there are strong indications it was a walkover, but even if the match did in fact take place, the team proved they were unrivalled in this phase.
Time for the big test
A perfect 6-0 record has secured the “Poles” a comfortable place in the quarter-finals, where Horizon Youngsters – a young, dynamic team – await them. It will be a clash of two different styles and POlteam’s first step towards their dream of reaching the Summit Clash TOP 4.
