We last wrote about Saturlity Esport when they were exactly halfway through the regular season of ESEA Season 54. Since then, the team has played four more matches. Unfortunately, their position in the table has not improved significantly. Since then, they have managed to secure just one further victory and currently sit on a 3–8 record. The team now faces the final stretch of this part of the competition. Will they manage to improve their record and fight for their dreams of reaching the Main Division? Or will their hopes end at this stage of the season?
A difficult start to the second half of the first phase of ESEA
Saturlity Esport [6:13] :fi: RajutKundit | Dust 2
The first match of this series started quite promisingly for Saturlity. In the first half, the team kept pace with their opponents and were trailing by just 5–7 at the break. After the sides switched, however, the situation changed dramatically. The Finnish side took full control, allowing the French to win just one more round. Consequently, the match ended with a crushing 6:13 result. Despite the one-sided scoreline, Walouf_ stood out positively from the rest of the team, being the only one to finish in the black, recording 15 kills against 13 deaths.
Saturlity Esport [8:13] :de: Rheinkirmes | Nuke
The second match was played on the Nuke map. The start was again evenly matched, but the opponents took control, building a 5:7 lead. After the side change, Saturlity tried to fight back and won three rounds, but it wasn’t enough to turn the match around. Rheinkirmes closed out the match without much trouble with a score of 8:13. The individual performances of players Faboudin, who finished with 18 kills, and rikast, who added 17 frags, were definitely highlights.
Saturlity Esport [22:20] :ua: Deorum | Dust 2
In the clash against the Ukrainian side Deorum, the Dust 2 map was chosen once again. This time, however, Saturlity played one of the longest matches of the season. The start looked disastrous, with the opposition on the brink of victory after a one-sided first half that ended 3:9. However, after the sides switched, the French team came back to life and forced the match into overtime. It took four overtime periods to decide the winner. At the decisive moment, it was Saturlity who kept their cool, triumphing 22:20. The statistics were as even as the match itself… but once again, Walouf_ stood out from the team, recording an impressive 38 eliminations.
Saturlity Esport [9:13] 🇬🇧 Comet Clan | Ancient
The final match discussed today was played on the Ancient map, where Saturlity faced the British Comet Clan. The start looked very poor… the French had won only two rounds and it seemed the match would end quickly. After switching sides, however, the team found a second wind and began to make up for their losses. Although Saturlity fought until the very end, Comet Clan’s lead from the first half proved too great, and the match ended 9:13. This time, the team lacked kills from Walouf_, who had been a key figure in previous clashes. The standout performers, however, were laj0ke and Raysuss, who managed to finish the match with a positive kill-death ratio.
What lies ahead for Saturlity Esport as the first phase of the ESEA draws to a close?
Saturlity have had four difficult matches, in which the team managed to secure victory only once. A 3–8 record puts the French side in a difficult position, but the regular season is not over yet. Now they have three final attempts to improve their record and show that they can fight until the very end. Tomorrow, 26 August at 8.00 pm, they face Cillerian, and two days later, on 28 August at the same time, they take on OldDirtyBastard. The phase concludes with a clash against Five NoName, scheduled for 30 August at 8.00 pm. It is these three matches that will determine the final standings… And answer the question of whether Saturlity will manage to improve their record, or whether the season will end in disappointment.
