At the start of the month, Hussars saddened their fans by announcing the departure of their existing Counter-Strike 2 squad. In their statement, however, they made it clear that this was not the end of their journey in the scene, but merely the start of a new chapter. Few expected, however, that the next step would come so quickly. Just two weeks later, the organisation unveiled its new line-up, sending a clear signal that Hussars have no intention of slowing down.
Hussars are back in the game!
From the above announcement by Hussars, we have learned the full line-up of the new Husaria. In addition to the starting five players:
Lien
Karwix
Rab1
SNowRC
Fajson
Apologies if any of the nicknames are misspelled; I took them all from the announcement on X.com
Coach Krux and analyst Vox have also joined the team. For those less familiar with these nicknames, it is worth noting that this team was until recently known as ex-Pandemonium.
Putting the team together so quickly clearly shows that the Hussars had no intention of allowing themselves a long break. The organisation returned to the scene in a flash, thereby sending a clear signal that their hunger for competition remains immense. Whereas many teams often need months to rebuild after parting ways with their roster, the Hussars opted for immediate action. This speaks both to the organisation’s ambitions and its desire to further develop the project within the CS scene.
The team, now playing under a new banner, has already made its debut. In the Summit Clash tournament, they faced another of our partners, Rezun Team. From the outset, the match was dominated by Husaria, and after two excellent maps, they secured their place in the next round of the tournament. The quick 2-0 victory clearly demonstrated why the choice fell on the former Pandemonium players.
Husaria crushed their rivals in truly spectacular fashion. The match began on Ancient, where they won 13-5. On the second map, Dust 2, despite slightly stiffer resistance from their opponents, they saw it through and finished the map with a score of 13-9. This result is cause for optimism for both the organisation and the fans, as the chemistry and confidence of the ‘new’ five-man squad are already evident right from the start.
Speaking of the next round, the Hussars have secured their place in the Summit Clash semi-finals, where they await the winner of the Constrict Gaming versus ChamyPL match. Consequently, further challenges lie ahead for the Hussars, along with a chance to prove that their swift return to the scene was not only a bold decision, but above all, a wise one.
Challenges on more than one front
However, the Hussars are not focusing solely on the Summit Clash. The former Pandemonium line-up is also competing in the 54th season of ESEA, where they are playing in the Entry division. The players have just one more regular-season match left, specifically a clash with the montarzufka team, which will take place tomorrow at 8.30 pm. Hussars can approach this match with a great deal of composure, as their almost perfect 10–3 record has already secured their progression to the next stage of the competition. Nevertheless, the result of the final match may have purely psychological significance. Maintaining their winning streak will allow them to enter the playoffs with even greater confidence. In this way, the organisation is clearly demonstrating that it has not only returned to the scene but is taking the game seriously right from the start.
