The fourth round of the GALAXY CUP: Reborn Edition is now behind us. Here’s what we saw towards the end of the group stage.

The final, fifth round of the GALAXY CUP has already been drawn, which means we have a moment to take a quick look at the action from round 4.

Qualification within reach. Record: 2-1

One of the most interesting matches involving teams with a 2-1 record was undoubtedly the clash between World’s Worst Players and Epoka Lodowcowa. The match, which ended 2-1 in Epoka’s favour, was not given up without a fight by the “Worlds”. This is evidenced by the de_vertigo map, which went to overtime. The one-sided map result between ESSA and Team Disrupt should not mislead readers, as the match was exceptionally even and thrilling. This encounter began with a 13-10 result on de_ancient, and was followed by an equally thrilling 13-11 match. The promotion of the Los Kogutos academy, which won its match by walkover, is certainly worth noting.

On a knife-edge. Record 1-2

Another six teams have been eliminated from the tournament. Avalanche.gg and Szegedu were the only teams in this round to lose a map 0-0. The 1-2 record does not include a single match that went to three maps. The aforementioned Avalanche.gg, despite a disastrous Vertigo map, managed to fight Cobra Team to the end and force an overtime.

What awaits us at the finish of the Swiss stage?

POLTeam will face CFK eSports, who are on a dream run and, after losing their first two matches heavily, are back in the game and have a chance of reaching the play-offs. Signum will take on Gravity Esports. Worldsi will play Budyń To twarda Zupa. Sent will take on Cobra Team, who have been locked in constant, tough battles throughout the tournament. Emeritos Koxitos will face Kunai Team, whilst Żółw od tyłu will take on Team Disrupt.

At this point, the clear favourites are undoubtedly teams such as TNC Esport, Horizon Esports, Panica.Gaming and GRIN Esports, who haven’t lost a single match so far. Unfortunately, our partners (Invisibilia, Avalanche, UNKNVN) have already been eliminated from the GALAXY CUP, but many others are still in the running and we wish them every success.
