It hasn’t even been a week since our last round-up of personnel changes in the Counter-Strike 2 underground scene… Yet more news has already emerged that is worth noting. Interestingly, the first of these came to light on the very same day we published an article about changes amongst our partners. Due to time constraints, however, we were unable to discuss these moves in greater detail, which is why we’re returning to the topic today. In this latest “transfer window” update, we’ll be looking at two significant developments. First, we’ll focus on the changes to the Nisla Rakov squad, which has decided to strengthen both its playing squad and coaching staff. We will then move on to a much more high-profile development: the break-up of the Superion Gaming squad. Although the organisation has not yet issued an official statement, all the signs suggest that the team has already ceased operations.
Nisła Raków strengthens its squad and coaching staff
Nisla Rakov has announced further changes to its Counter-Strike 2 division. The organisation has officially welcomed a new player, Kyoori, and a new coach, PrzemsoN, to its ranks. Although the announcement itself was very brief, these moves may prove significant for the team’s future development.
Of particular note is the signing of Kyoori, who until recently represented Superion Gaming. This means the player was not without a team for long and quickly found a new home to continue his career. For Nisla Rakov, this is an opportunity to sign a player with experience gained from competing at ESEA Main level.
Equally important is the addition of PrzemsoN to the coaching staff. The role of the coach in the modern Counter-Strike 2 scene is becoming increasingly significant. Proper tactical preparation and analysis of opponents can often be decisive in determining the outcome of matches. Strengthening this area could therefore help the team achieve better results in upcoming tournaments and league competitions.
At this stage, it is difficult to assess definitively the impact of the new signings on the team’s results. However, both Kyoori and PrzemsoN will certainly be given the chance to prove their worth in their upcoming matches. Nisla Rakov supporters, meanwhile, will be watching with interest to see whether the changes made will lead to an improvement in the team’s form and more consistent good results.
Is the Superion Gaming project coming to an end?
However, news concerning Superion Gaming has caused a much greater stir. Although the organisation has not yet issued an official statement on the matter, our editorial team has information confirming that the squad has ceased operations and the project has been disbanded.
The team was officially unveiled on 1 April this year. Its line-up consisted of Vanta, Kyoori, Gekyume, Be_Gone and Rosemary. From the very beginning, it was a project that aimed to compete at a high level, and the players regularly took part in tournaments and qualifiers.
The team’s biggest test came in the ESEA Main. Simply qualifying for this level of competition was a valuable experience, but the season did not go as the players had hoped. Superion Gaming failed to secure a place in the play-offs, meaning their campaign came to an end during the regular season.
Despite the lack of spectacular successes, the squad managed to make a lasting impression on some fans of the Polish underground scene. There was potential to be seen in the team, and the players repeatedly demonstrated that they were capable of competing against tough opponents. Ultimately, however, the project did not stand the test of time, and the individual players have gone their separate ways.
The break-up of the squad also means that some of the players will most likely be looking for new organisations or projects in the near future. The first move has already been made by Kyoori, who has joined Nisla Rakov. We can therefore only wait for further news regarding the future of the remaining players.
Further changes are likely still to come
In the space of just a few days, the Polish CS2 scene has seen further interesting reshuffles. Nisla Rakov has decided to strengthen both its squad and coaching staff by signing Kyoori and PrzemsoN. These are moves that could help the team achieve more ambitious goals in the coming months. However, the situation surrounding Superion Gaming is causing even more of a stir. The break-up of the team marks the end of a project that had been running since early April and had already made its mark with appearances at events such as ESEA Main, amongst others. Although the team’s history was short-lived, its players certainly haven’t had their final say yet. Given the pace of recent events, it’s safe to assume that this isn’t the end of the changes… The transfer window is in full swing, and more teams may soon announce further squad changes.
