The Polish Counter-Strike scene has gained another team that has proven that hard work and perseverance really do pay off. After a long and gruelling journey, Nisla Rakov has finally secured promotion to Arrmy Masters – the top league organised by the Arrmy platform. Their story is a testament to the fact that even after a poor start, you can pick yourself up, correct your mistakes and come back stronger than ever.
The beginning of the journey – open qualifiers
It all began on 23 October 2025, when Nisła Raków entered the open qualifiers. This is the stage where dozens of teams battle for a single spot in the closed qualifiers. Every match is of the utmost importance, as a single mistake can dash dreams of promotion.
Right from the first match, it was clear that the lads had come here for the win. In the opening match, they defeated Anabolic Beasts 13-7 on the de_mirage map. It was a tight game, but in the crucial rounds, it was Nisła who kept their cool, effectively shutting out their opponents.
Another clash on de_ancient against GeFlux5: The Ship of Theseus was a true display of strength. The 13:2 scoreline speaks for itself – dominance from start to finish. The team played with great confidence, maintaining full control and excellent communication. Every round was well thought out, and their opponents had practically no time to catch their breath.
The third match against Kodziras was once again played on de_mirage. This time, the opponents put up a tougher fight, but Nisła Raków remained focused and won 13:10. Although the situation became tense at times, the team did not lose control and successfully closed out the match in their favour.
The decisive battle for a place in the closed qualifiers took place on de_ancient against Agentyy. This match was the most thrilling – long, intense and full of twists and turns. Ultimately, Nisła Raków won 16:12, securing their place in the next stage.
This day was a real test of endurance. To progress, the team had to win four matches in a row – with no room for error, no second chances. They did it. After one of the toughest days in the qualifiers, Nisła Raków could breathe a sigh of relief and start preparing for the next challenge.
Closed qualifiers – a display of consistency and form
Following their success in the open qualifiers, the team gained confidence and belief in their own abilities. In the closed qualifiers, which began on 27 October 2025, Nisła Raków showed that they could play just as well against stronger, more experienced opponents.
In the quarter-finals, they faced the ATP team. The 2-0 result (13-6 on de_mirage, 13-7 on de_nuke) sent a clear signal – the lads aren’t letting up. Each player fulfilled their role perfectly, and the teamwork functioned like a well-oiled machine.

Next, on 2 November, it was time for the semi-final against PaczkaNaRespie. And here history repeated itself – another 2:0 (13:6 de_ancient, 13:7 de_mirage). Their opponents tried to catch them off guard with aggressive pushes, but Nisła Raków were prepared for this. Precise positioning, excellent game reading and effective counter-attacks secured them a comfortable victory.

This saw them advance to the Arrmy Masters play-offs, bypassing the closed qualifiers’ final. The top two teams from this stage automatically progressed to the final round of qualifiers, so Nisła could now focus on the most important match of the entire tournament.
Army Masters Play-offs – the battle for dreams
9 November 2025 is a day that will long remain in the memories of Nisła Raków fans. It was then that the play-off final took place, in which the team faced Energol – an opponent who also dreamed of qualifying for the Arrmy Masters.
The first map, de_mirage, was thrilling from the first round to the last. Both teams were neck and neck, but ultimately it was Nisła who kept their cool in the decisive moments and won 13:10. This victory gave them a huge confidence boost ahead of the second map, which was also set to be a very close contest.
On de_ancient, they showed the full extent of their capabilities. From the start, they controlled the pace of the match, not allowing their opponents to get into their stride. Effective tactical play and a strong defence saw them win 13-8, thus concluding the play-offs with a 2-0 result.
When the final point was scored, the team could celebrate – Nisła Raków had officially qualified for the Army Masters.

From disappointment to success
This wasn’t Nisła Raków’s first attempt. The earlier open qualifiers hadn’t gone their way – they were knocked out sooner than they’d expected. However, rather than giving up, they used that defeat as motivation. They corrected their mistakes, changed their approach and came back stronger.
