Five wins from six matches. PEST Esport is proving its strength in ESEA Open10

- -

As you are no doubt aware, PEST Esport is our new partner, and one well worth keeping an eye on. This is particularly true when you consider their current form in the ESEA Open10. Right from the start of the season, the team has shown that they didn’t end up in the league by chance. Their results, meanwhile, confirm their stability and consistency on the pitch. After the first six rounds, PEST can boast a record of five wins and just one defeat. This, of course, places them among the best-performing teams in the division. So, in this article, we take a look at PEST Esport’s journey through the first six matches of the season. It is these matches that have laid a solid foundation for the rest of the competition and allowed the team to make its mark in the ESEA.

PEST Esport’s steady start and three wins to open the season

PEST Esport made a very solid start to the new ESEA Open10 season, kicking off the campaign with three wins. The very first match showed that the team is well prepared to compete at this level. In their clash with Body Builders on Mirage, PEST managed to build a lead that allowed them to control the flow of the match and ultimately secure a 13-9 victory. This result was a positive sign to start the season and gave the team the confidence they needed for the upcoming rounds.

The second round presented a slightly tougher challenge. The match against NAYS TEAM, played on Train, was much more evenly matched, with the round difference remaining minimal for a long time. PEST had to stay focused right until the very end to secure the result. Ultimately, the match ended in a 13-11 victory, confirming that the team can also cope in matches where every mistake can be crucial.

The third match followed a similar pattern, this time against XGEAR Talents on Overpass. Once again, we witnessed a very evenly matched contest in which neither side could pull away decisively. PEST once again demonstrated patience and effectiveness in the decisive moments, ending the match with a 13-11 victory. This third consecutive win strengthened their position in the table and confirmed that their strong start was no fluke.

Thus, these first three rounds of the season have allowed PEST Esport to build a solid foundation for the rest of the campaign. The team has proven that it can score consistently and maintain a stable form, regardless of the map or their opponents’ style of play.

First setback and a quick return to winning ways

Unfortunately, the fourth round brought PEST Esport their first and, so far, only defeat of the season. On Mirage, the team faced Flames of Freedom, and the match looked set to be very evenly matched from the start. Both sides remained neck and neck for a long time. However, the result remained in the balance for most of the match. Ultimately, it was Flames of Freedom who tipped the scales in their favour, winning 11-13 and ending PEST’s winning streak.

This match was an important test for the team, which, after three wins, had to face its first setback. However, the key factor was how PEST reacted to this defeat. In the very next round, the team returned to Mirage, where their opponent was CyberX_Armavir_Azovskaya. This time, however, PEST displayed consistent play from the outset, gradually building a round lead. The 13-8 victory was a clear signal that the earlier setback had not adversely affected the team’s form.

Round six only confirmed PEST Esport’s good form following a minor setback. In the match against FC DIDDLERS, played once again on Mirage, the team displayed stable and effective play. Once again, they controlled the course of the match from the very first rounds. The 13-6 result was PEST’s most convincing victory in this part of the season and allowed the team to conclude the first six rounds with a very favourable record.

These last three matches have shown that PEST Esport is capable of learning quickly and responding to difficult moments. Instead of a prolonged slump, there was an immediate response, which allowed the team to remain at the top of the Open10 division.

A good starting point ahead of further challenges

PEST Esport’s first six rounds of ESEA Open10 lay a solid foundation for the rest of the season. A record of five wins and one defeat shows that the team can score consistently and maintain stability… even when tougher moments arise. Crucially, that single slip-up did not affect the team’s form, as they quickly returned to winning ways and finished this stage of the competition in fine style. PEST have further matches ahead, including the seventh and eighth rounds, which we will cover in our next article. For now, however, it is safe to say that their start to the season provides real grounds for optimism.
